    Participated · Equity · Nov 2025

Tsalla Aerospace, founded in 2019 and incubated at the Indian Institute of Science, creates an AI-based autonomy stack that allows drones and other unmanned platforms to operate without GPS or communications. The company designs, fabricates and integrates both fixed-wing and multi-rotor UAVs, providing end-to-end services from prototyping through full production. Its "AI Pilot" enables fully autonomous, zero-operator missions, and the firm collaborates with the Indian Navy and Army on confined-space reconnaissance, backpack-portable VTOL craft and ship-to-ship logistics solutions. Tsalla envisions a unified autonomy ecosystem linking satellites, aircraft, ground vehicles, ships and underwater platforms. In its first external raise, the startup secured $1 million, supplemented by equity-free defence grants, to expand R&D, manufacturing and market reach. Management is planning an additional $8 million Seed round to scale its autonomy stack globally across defence and industrial markets.
