Poolhouse develops a proprietary gameplay and vision-processing platform called BillyQ, built in collaboration with the team behind Hawk-Eye, that overlays interactive projection and precision tracking onto pool tables to enable automated scoring, real-time analytics, and an automated handicapping system (the Q-Rating). The company pairs this technology with premium, hospitality-driven venues; its flagship location is open in London and it has pipeline activity and franchise agreements in markets including New York City, Nashville, and Australia. Founded by Steve and Dave Jolliffe (the creators of Topgolf and Puttshack), Poolhouse aims to license BillyQ into hotels, casinos, bars, traditional pool halls, and ultimately the home via a consumer product.
