Overview
SL investment (SLi) aims at a company with global standards through management by principle and transparency. SLi is a venture capital firm founded in February 2000 and has widely invested in the companies from early to mezzanine stage, in the field of semiconductors, display (AMOLED, LED, LCD), renewable energy, and health care industry. Since its incorporation, SLi has recorded black-ink balances for 12 consecutive years with zero debt and also has successfully dissolved all the five funds with outstanding earning rates. SLi tries to raise the value of venture companies not only by offering funds but by supporting the management omnidirectionally after its investment. Consequently, 31 companies have been successfully listed in KOSDAQ market for 12 years and all the companies have positioned as leading firms in their specific fields.

Founded in June 2021 by Oh Hyun-ung, Step Lab develops space-grade mechanism technology including a launch-vibration-reducing separation ring used to connect and detach satellites from launch vehicles. Its flagship products include the separation ring and STEP POD, a CubeSat deployer that integrates an in-house vibration isolation system and is slated to fly aboard DaejeonSAT-1, giving the company its first flight heritage. Step Lab has expanded into payload technology, building a 4-meter-class, three-stage deployable SAR mesh antenna and developing an AI-based zoom optical module for space domain awareness through Korea’s Scale-up TIPS program. The company has also developed full small-satellite systems-integration capability via its DaejeonSAT-1 work, which will carry a selfie camera to confirm on-orbit status. With the recent Series A, Step Lab plans to scale mass production of its flight-proven mechanisms and accelerate global commercialization.

Promedius develops Osteo Signal, an AI-based screening solution that analyzes routine chest radiographs to assess osteoporosis risk in about three seconds and identify at-risk patient groups without additional tests. Osteo Signal was designated an innovative medical device in 2024 and received approval from the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in 2025; the company has also secured regulatory approvals in Vietnam and Indonesia and is seeking FDA and CE/MDR clearances by the end of the year. Promedius has built partnerships with global medical device companies such as Siemens Healthineers and secured strategic investors including Daewoong Pharmaceutical and Naver to support commercial rollout. The company aims to commercialize nationally and expand internationally while broadening its platform to address healthy aging conditions like sarcopenia, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Its total funding now exceeds 35 billion won following the recent Series B raise of 21.5 billion won.

Galux leverages its proprietary GaluxDesign platform, which integrates deep-learning with biophysical principles, to design high-affinity antibodies and other proteins from scratch. The platform has already produced antibodies whose AI-predicted structures align closely with cryo-EM data, validating its precision and generalizability. Galux is expanding the technology to harder target classes such as GPCRs and ion channels while tightly coupling AI modeling with wet-lab feedback to speed iteration. Medintech develops a motorized, 50% lighter gastrointestinal endoscope and complementary AI software to detect abnormal regions and reduce misdiagnosis. The company’s founders spun out of the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute and established the business in 2020. It holds Class II medical device approval for its motorized GI endoscope system and its anomaly‑detection software. Medintech is conducting clinical trials with Seoul National University Hospital and plans full market entry within the year. The company intends to further refine its AI convenience features to maximize the utility and ease of its motorized endoscope. Proceeds from its latest financing will be used to establish mass production capabilities and support overseas expansion. Cumulatively, Medintech has raised more than ₩28 billion to date.
