Bit provides open-source tools and a cloud SaaS platform that enable developers to build independent components and compose them into features and applications. Components can range from UI elements to entire features, pages and backend services, allowing autonomous teams to develop, release and own sets of components. Features such as component templates and reusable development environments help companies standardize how components are built and shared, creating a scalable, repeatable process for contributing features. Bit serves over 200k developers and dozens of Fortune 500 companies; its new beta was quickly adopted by hundreds of organizations including Dell, AT&T and Moody’s. The company, founded in Tel Aviv by Ran Mizrahi, Yonatan Sason and Jonathan Saring, intends to use new funding to expand its offering to further empower developers and organizations to build component-driven software. To date Bit has raised $36M in total funding.
