  Meight has developed a platform that helps trucking companies run paperless and automated operations across Europe, covering booking, dispatch, route planning, reporting and real-time monitoring (Autopilot). The product is designed for easy setup and seamless integration and includes a patented fuel savings feature that aims to lower costs and emissions. The company targets predominantly family-owned carriers, serving the untapped 95% of carriers, and counts top logistics companies across Europe among its users. Meight launched in 2021 and positions itself as a system of intelligence for road freight operations. With the new funding, the company plans to accelerate growth, scale its platform, and add new capabilities and features to further automate and optimize freight management for small carriers and enterprise customers. Founded in 2018 and based in Évora, Meight has developed a patented smartphone-based technology that pinpoints energy consumption sources in road transport, predicts inefficiencies, and helps drivers change behaviour without any truck installation or retrofit. The platform leverages collected driving data to create route- and vehicle-specific ideal driving standards and to enable a next-generation road freight platform connecting supply-chain stakeholders and service providers. Meight has already logged 20 million kilometres and its technology is compatible with about 75% of truck brands in Europe. The solution aims to improve operational efficiency and substantially reduce fuel consumption and fleets’ environmental footprints. The company plans to accelerate expansion across Europe with a focus on Germany and to recruit software engineers to continue developing its data infrastructure. The funding round will support these growth and product-development efforts.
