  Kiwi Bio’s first product, FODZYME, is a patent-pending enzyme powder launched in May that is sprinkled on foods to pre-digest common FODMAP triggers like garlic, onions, bananas and wheat. The company chose a powder delivery after clinical testing showed capsules were ineffective at delivering enzymes to the gut; all ingredients in FODZYME are recognized as safe by the U.S. FDA. Kiwi is developing a chewable version and a supplement to counteract sugar alcohols, and plans clinical studies and further in vitro validation. The company has been strengthening its supply chain, hired growth and community staff, and saw inventory sell out twice this summer. Kiwi currently serves over 600 customers, is growing at 18% weekly, and retails FODZYME at $39 for a 30- or 60-day supply.
