- Modelence
Participated · Seed · Jan 2026
Modelence is a California-based startup that tackles the persistent pain points of hosting, security and DevOps that remain even as large language models accelerate coding. Its core product is an all-in-one framework that runs on Typescript and packages critical services—authentication, database management, hosting, LLM observability tools and a built-in app builder—so developers don’t have to stitch together multiple cloud vendors. By focusing on the connections between these services, the company aims to reduce the brittleness that arises when developers mix and match providers like Vercel and Supabase. Modelence graduated from Y Combinator’s most recent summer batch and positions itself against both hyperscalers such as Google and Amazon and newer startups like Shuttle. The startup believes its integrated approach will attract a new wave of AI-empowered, non-expert developers looking for a smoother build-to-deploy workflow. Financially, the company has secured $3 million in seed capital, providing runway to refine the platform and scale user acquisition efforts.
- Andi
Participated · Equity · Sep 2022
Andi offers an AI assistant search that generates answers by combining large language models with live web data rather than returning traditional link lists. The system extracts and ranks information from web results and uses specialized AI components for different verticals such as factual knowledge, programming, and consumer health. Andi emphasizes privacy, saying it does not record personally identifiable information or log searches, and currently provides the core service for free. The company is in alpha, reports roughly 5,000 users, and plans paid pro and business tiers with API access and support for private/internal data. Leadership says the product will evolve as they add features that let customers use Andi with paid content and team data. Andi intends to stay lean while iterating and will add at least one full-time AI developer, bringing headcount to three.
- Kiwi Biosciences
Participated · Seed · Oct 2021
Kiwi Bio’s first product, FODZYME, is a patent-pending enzyme powder launched in May that is sprinkled on foods to pre-digest common FODMAP triggers like garlic, onions, bananas and wheat. The company chose a powder delivery after clinical testing showed capsules were ineffective at delivering enzymes to the gut; all ingredients in FODZYME are recognized as safe by the U.S. FDA. Kiwi is developing a chewable version and a supplement to counteract sugar alcohols, and plans clinical studies and further in vitro validation. The company has been strengthening its supply chain, hired growth and community staff, and saw inventory sell out twice this summer. Kiwi currently serves over 600 customers, is growing at 18% weekly, and retails FODZYME at $39 for a 30- or 60-day supply.
- PideDirecto
Participated · Seed · Oct 2021
PideDirecto builds online storefronts and operates logistics for local businesses — including restaurants, pharmacies, retailers and CPG brands — to enable direct-to-consumer sales with sub-30-minute deliveries. The company was launched in September 2020 by Hussein Fawzi, Ronni Samir, Anders Steiner and Antonio Nacoud and is headquartered in Mexico. PideDirecto charges a SaaS-style fee starting at $125/month (which includes delivery service and marketing tools) while delivery fees are paid by the consumer. Since launch it has grown roughly 32% month over month, serves about 1,000 brand clients and has processed more than 500,000 orders. The startup says it aims to be an all-in-one commerce platform with direct marketplace integrations, payments, CRM and logistics. New capital will fund a technology team and marketing as it scales further in Mexico and targets expansion into Colombia and Costa Rica by the end of next year. The company is also gearing up to raise a Series A.
