  • Smash Foods

    Participated · Equity · Jul 2026

Smash Foods develops chia-fortified fruit spreads sweetened with dates rather than added sugar and produces nut-butter snacks called Jammy Protein Bites (and forthcoming Mini Bites) that incorporate its fruit spreads. The brand sources much of its fruit from upcycled sources and develops all products in-house, with classic flavors like Strawberry, Concord Grape, Apricot and Raspberry and an eighth flavor, Fig, planned. Smash’s Jammy Protein Bites launched in 2024 and expanded the business from a jam-focused company into a snacking brand with national distribution in Whole Foods, Costco, Target and roughly half of Walmart locations. The company reports it has surpassed 10,000 doors nationwide, more than tripled its business year-over-year and reached profitability. Management plans to use the new capital to build manufacturing capabilities with meticulous specifications for the Bites and Mini Bites and to invest in brand development and go-to-market scale.

  • Kin Health

    Participated · Seed · May 2026

Kin Health builds a patient-facing AI notetaker that records doctor visits, transcribes conversations using specialized medical models, and returns user-facing summaries with action items and next steps. The app encrypts patient data and is private by default; it is not HIPAA-certified but the company says it adheres to the same privacy standards. Founders are physicians Arpan and Amit Parikh and Kyle Alwyn, with GoodRx co-founders Doug Hirsch and Trevor Bezdek as founding partners and executive chairmen. Kin says it evaluates outputs at multiple processing stages to improve accuracy and is working to handle different accents and challenging audio conditions. The company plans to bring in additional health data sources this year, including physicians’ notes via EHR integrations, and will keep the app free while monetizing through referrals to specialists and labs. The product faces industry concerns around AI accuracy, consent, and data security, and Kin notes clinicians should review AI-generated documentation.

  • Wilde Brands

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2024

WILDE produces flavored chips that deliver 10 grams of protein per serving using chicken breast, egg whites and bone broth. The portfolio includes Buffalo, Barbeque, Chicken & Waffles, Himalayan Pink Salt, Sea Salt & Vinegar, Nashville Hot and Spicy Queso. Its products are sold in roughly 20,000 doors, including Whole Foods, Kroger, Walmart, Costco and Target, and the company is focusing on deepening distribution at select retailers such as Whole Foods, Target and H-E-B. WILDE reports that approximately 70% of Costco customers who buy the product are female, and it has observed children eating flavors like Chicken & Waffles and Buffalo. The company is positioning itself around “snacks with substance” and is being cautious about growth to align with retailers emphasizing protein. WILDE plans to use new funding for brand-awareness activities, demos at Costco and sponsorships of athletic events like Tough Mudder.
