Bevz is a technology platform built for convenience and liquor stores to purchase inventory from distributors, sign up for and combine multiple e-commerce apps (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc.), and manage inventory. The solution includes 15+ API integrations with partners such as DoorDash, GrubHub, Uber, Core-Mark, Plaid, Stripe, and DocuSign. Hundreds of convenience stores are actively using the SaaS platform across 10 states in the U.S. Led by CEO Jason Vego, the company intends to use new funding to increase sales and marketing, support national expansion, continue product development, and add customer success resources. Bevz raised $3.1M in the reported funding round to support those initiatives. The platform targets independently operated and small chain operators with integrations and inventory workflows tailored to convenience retail.

  • Markett

    Participated · Equity · Jul 2017

Markett is a Los Angeles–based platform that connects everyday users with brands and pays people to promote startup services they love. Its product lets ambassadors sign up to market venture-backed companies such as Airbnb, ThriveMarket, FanDuel, The Bouqs, Zeel and Winc in exchange for payments. Founder Franky Bernstein built the company from experience training and recruiting brand ambassadors for Uber and Lyft while at Loyola Marymount University. Markett’s model commits nearly 100 percent of partner marketing budgets to the ambassadors, with company profits dedicated to bonuses. Eventually the company plans to take a cut of every transaction as it scales. Financially, Markett has raised roughly $2 million in venture financing from investors including KEC Ventures, Amplify.LA, Luma Launch, Wavemaker VC, Tiller Partners and several angel investors.
