    Spectee is a Tokyo-based resilience technology company that develops Spectee SCR, a cloud platform enabling manufacturers to map multi-tier supply chains, monitor real-time risk signals, and collaborate with suppliers to counter disasters, geopolitical shocks, and other threats. The software aggregates live data to give instant visualization of crises, allowing users to identify hidden vulnerabilities across global operations. In addition to risk detection, the platform provides collaboration tools so suppliers and OEMs can coordinate responses within the same interface. The firm positions itself as a critical partner for manufacturers seeking to strengthen business continuity and ESG compliance. To date Spectee has raised ¥3.25 billion in cumulative funding, fueling product enhancements and market expansion. The latest capital will be used to scale the business and further develop Spectee SCR’s feature set. Spectee is led by CEO Kenjiro Murakami.

Beyond education, it deploys its graduates in “DAIVE,” a near-shore, fully remote AI development team that supports digital transformation projects nationwide. The newly raised capital will accelerate the nationwide rollout of its training program, strengthen the DAIVE development business, and fund additional engineering and business hires. Ms.Engineer also develops and offers AI agent products, expanding its revenue streams beyond education services. Following the latest financing, the company’s cumulative funding now totals roughly ¥650 million, giving it additional runway for growth initiatives. While revenue figures were not disclosed, the strong bootcamp performance metrics highlight early traction and market demand.

    Lumai develops optical processing hardware that performs core AI arithmetic operations inside optical beams travelling through 3D space, aiming to bypass the limits of silicon GPUs and integrated photonics. Its PCIe-form-factor design uses low-cost optical components to enable cost-effective, high-performance AI inference. Lumai says its architecture can deliver roughly 50× the performance of silicon-only accelerators while using about 10% of the power consumed by conventional data-center AI hardware. The company has overcome scalability challenges in optical computing and positions itself as an enabler for next-generation large-language-model inference. Lumai secured more than $10 million in investment to support the next stage of growth. It plans to use the funds to advance product development, double headcount, and expand its US presence. Company leadership and technical founders have received external recognition, including participation in the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Shott Accelerator and inclusion on the Photonics 100 list.

The company supplies lidar-powered robovans and provides operational support; in a partnership with TIS it will deploy these vehicles to retirement communities to deliver food, groceries and medical equipment. Pix envisions a DAO-managed ecosystem to attract third-party developers to build on its skateboard platform and has tested the idea with a virtual hackathon. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Guizhou, Pix has about 160 staff. Overseas markets account for roughly 40% of Pix’s revenues and are expected to reach 50% next year. The firm is setting up a subsidiary and hiring in Japan as it expands deployments. PIX Moving designs modular automotive skateboards — chassis that house batteries, drive units and other core components — for adaptable self-driving vehicles. Founded in 2014, the company began in drones via HAX and moved into automotive around five years ago. It supplies customers globally, including Alibaba, Baidu and a Tier-1 German auto parts maker, and maintains R&D and business teams in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen while being based in Guizhou Province. PIX has started selling self-branded robo buses and skateboard platforms and uses 3D printing to produce customized chassis with lower cost and faster turnaround. The company expects production capacity of 1,200–2,500 vehicles this year and currently derives 30–40% of revenue from overseas, targeting roughly 50% within two years. Recent plans focus on mass production of its own vehicles, scaling customer production, overseas expansion and hiring.
