    Participated · Series B · Nov 2022

OneRail provides last-mile omnichannel fulfillment via its OmniPoint SaaS platform paired with logistics-as-a-service, automating fulfillment orchestration, carrier selection and delivery mode. The company recently acquired Orderbot to add distributed order management and inventory visibility, enabling dynamic selection of inventory across fulfillment locations. OneRail plans to deepen decision logic upstream and invest in data science, machine learning and AI to enhance multimodal, multi-carrier capabilities and lower fulfillment costs. It operates a real-time connected network of 12 million drivers and maintains a 98% on-time delivery rate via a 24/7 U.S.-based exceptions team. Since its prior financing in November 2022, OneRail has grown revenue by 254% and reports year-over-year revenue growth of 102%, and has expanded service to more than 400 cities across the U.S. and Canada. OneRail offers a delivery operating system and fulfillment platform that automates last-mile logistics, intelligently selecting the right shipping mode and courier to optimize each order. Its platform is directly connected to a real-time network of nearly 10 million drivers and is supported by a USA-based Exceptions Assist operations layer available 24/7. OneRail reports an on-time delivery rate above 98% (98.6% in company materials) and says its system is transacting over 12 million data calls per minute. The company has expanded service to over 330 U.S. cities and deployed from more than 10,000 unique shipper locations, with a Logistics Partner Network that grew by four million (up 66% year over year). Since its Series A in 2021 the company has grown revenue year-over-year by 312% and employs nearly 100 team members in Orlando. OneRail plans to use the new funding to build new data-driven platform capabilities and to expand its sales, marketing, and solution engineering teams to meet increased shipper demand. OneRail provides a 3-in-1 final mile delivery fulfillment platform combining a national courier network, an API-driven smart-matching delivery operating system and a 24/7 Exceptions Assist™ team. The company reports an on-time delivery rate of 98.6 percent and an exceptions rate described as virtually zero. OneRail says its network spans 7.5 million drivers across 200 major U.S. cities and its Logistics Partner Network grew by 4 million year-over-year. Over the past 18 months the Orlando-based startup closed $21.5 million in financing, grew headcount from nine to 80, and delivered over 10x year-over-year revenue growth with major Fortune 500 customers. OneRail offers standalone or TMS-integrated deployments and has an integration with SAP Commerce Cloud available in the SAP Store. The company plans to use new capital to expand its customer success team, enhance its delivery operating system and Logistics Partner Network, activate key partnerships, and accelerate customers' digital supply chain transformation. OneRail provides a delivery orchestration and fulfillment platform that connects a shipper’s demand signal (POS, eCommerce, OMS, ERP) to an aggregated network of final-mile couriers and carriers, automating rate shopping, dispatch, tracking and proof of delivery. The platform supports forward and reverse logistics and claims real-time visibility, event-driven notifications, and data-driven delivery optimization. OneRail aggregates over 120 delivery companies, 65 parcel and LTL carriers, and a network it describes as 6 million delivery drivers. The company reported growth of 5,200% since January 2020 and cites accelerated e-commerce demand during the COVID-19 pandemic as a driver of commercial adoption. OneRail has begun national rollouts with customers such as American Tire Distributors for expedited delivery programs. Management says the financing will be used to scale business development and marketing efforts to expand the company’s final-mile footprint and customer base. OneRail provides a final-mile orchestration and fulfillment platform that matches shippers' real-time demand signals (Point of Sale, ERP, eCommerce) to a contracted network of aggregated couriers. The platform identifies exceptions and manages each delivery through proof of delivery. OneRail serves multiple verticals including retail, industrial supply, health care and product manufacturers. The company has agreements with over 50 courier entities and a footprint of more than 75,000 individual couriers, with fleet assets ranging from sedans to large box trucks and services including white-glove installation and assembly. Its network operates in all 50 states. OneRail plans to use the new funding to expand platform capabilities and grow its logistics operations team.

  • Formlogic

    Participated · Series A · Feb 2022

Formlogic provides autonomous precision manufacturing services intended for space companies. It separates engineering from physical labor by combining remote AI-based planning with autonomous production. The company has developed software that performs the simulations needed to produce parts effectively, replacing traditional guess-and-check methods performed by skilled workers. Formlogic operates factories in Pittsburgh spanning over 50,000 square feet. The company plans to use recent growth capital to acquire new CNC machines and continue scaling operations. Leadership frames the mission as modernizing the industrial supply chain and retaining skilled manufacturing in the U.S. Formlogic replaces manual trial-and-error in precision machining with simulation-driven software and autonomous production, decoupling engineering decisions from physical labor. Its RemoteShop console enables remote experts to plan and run production from anywhere. The company has secured purchase orders from ten leading customers across the medical, automotive, and aerospace industries, and reports all machines operating at or near capacity. Formlogic is pursuing enterprise customers that could each represent roughly $1 million a year in sales. The approach targets a highly fragmented machine tool consumption market valued at over $70 billion, where no incumbent holds more than 1.0% share. The team is led by founder and CEO Paul Sutter, who previously exited companies to AltaVista and Citrix and grew a prior business to $400 million in revenue, and CTO David Montague, formerly of Palantir, alongside aerospace veterans from SpaceX.

  • CodeSignal

    Participated · Series B · Dec 2020

Founded in 2015 by Tigran Sloyan, Aram Shatakhtsyan and Sophia Baik, CodeSignal offers a self-driving interview platform that measures developer skills regardless of background. The company describes its assessments as a "flight simulator for developers," returning scores and highlighted strengths. It recently launched an Integrated Development Environment enabling candidates to interact with code, files and a terminal and to preview their application, while employers can assign identical coding tasks tied to open roles. CodeSignal has grown revenue 3.5x year-over-year and lists customers including Brex, Databricks, Facebook, Instacart, Robinhood, Upwork and Zoom. Management says it has not yet used proceeds from its prior $25M Series B and plans to use new funding to add platform features, triple headcount in the coming months, and expand into additional skills-assessment use cases. CodeSignal, founded in 2015 and based in San Francisco, is a technical assessment platform that automates skill-based screening and enables structured live interviews. Its Certified Coding Assessments provide objective measures of candidate qualifications and let companies set custom thresholds. The platform offers comprehensive testing options for different teams and roles and includes safeguards against cheating. CodeSignal says it will use new funding to rapidly expand its go-to-market team and to partner with key players in the technical hiring industry. The company is led by CEO and founder Tigran Sloyan. The articles do not disclose revenue or user metrics. CodeFights combines coding challenges with a recruiting platform to match developers to employers based on demonstrated skills. Its product includes company-trained "company bots" that developers can compete against, which has driven word-of-mouth growth. Recruiters on the platform can only contact developers who have signaled they are open to new opportunities, aiming to protect the user experience. The company competes with HackerRank and emphasizes opening job opportunities to developers who lack top-school pedigrees but have strong skills. CEO and founder Tigran Sloyan says the user base has grown 10x since the company’s $2.4M seed round last April. CodeFights plans to use new funding to scale engineering, operations and sales teams and to build new educational tools similar to Duolingo for developers. CodeFights operates a real-time, social platform where developers compete in "code battles"—short debugging and programming challenges that scale in difficulty and award levels and badges. The site, live for roughly six months, supports JavaScript, Java, C++ and Python and currently features over 1,500 challenges. It has attracted about 70,000 users who have solved 1.5 million challenges and the service has been growing 30–40% month-over-month. Gameplay lets users race the clock or face off against other players, with plans to introduce skill-based matching as the user base grows. The company raised $2.4M in seed funding and intends to use the capital to expand content, add new challenge types (for example database or CSS problems), broaden appeal to beginners, and grow the team. The founders are Tigran Sloyan, Aram Shatakhtsyan and Felix Desroches, and the startup is actively hiring from its community.
