Founded in 2023 by Kunal Mundra in partnership with Grip Invest, Astranova Mobility offers financing, leasing, asset management, and maintenance services for commercial electric vehicles. The startup has enabled financing for over 25,000 EVs across two-wheelers, cars, buses, and trucks. Astranova raised Rs 60 crore ($6.4M) in a Series A led by IvyCap Ventures to bolster its data, AI, and engineering capabilities and to scale its financing platform. It previously raised $3 million in March of the prior year from investors including AdvantEdge, Asian Development Bank, and Alteria Capital. The company plans to scale operations and support large-scale deployment of EV assets over the next 18 months.

Maritime Fusion is designing a compact tokamak fusion reactor that will be installed on oceangoing vessels rather than on land. Leveraging advances in high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets, AI-driven design, and modern computing, the startup aims to deliver safe, meltdown-free fusion power directly at sea, where it can compete with costly alternative marine fuels like ammonia and hydrogen. The company is already assembling HTS cables from Japanese-sourced tape; these cables will both serve its own reactor and be sold to third parties to generate early revenue. Its first planned power plant, dubbed Yinsen, is expected to generate roughly 30 MW of electricity, measure about eight meters across, and cost an estimated $1.1 billion to build. Maritime Fusion projects Yinsen will be operational by 2032, with certain ancillary processes such as fuel handling performed on shore to simplify onboard systems. Unlike some competitors developing demonstration-only machines, Maritime Fusion intends for its first tokamak to deliver commercial power to a paying customer. The company participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 batch and is led by co-founder and CEO Justin Cohen.

Auriga Space is building an electromagnetic launcher that uses electricity-driven magnets to accelerate small rockets to over six times the speed of sound, with a steep ramped exit that lets rockets ignite engines only for the final push to orbit. The ground-based architecture is designed to be rapidly and fully reusable, with the goal of lowering launch costs and enabling much more frequent and responsive launches. The company is pursuing an initial go-to-market in hypersonic ground testing with an indoor lab-scale track called Prometheus and an outdoor accelerator called Thor; its orbital concept is dubbed Zeus. Auriga has conducted survivability studies indicating many satellite components can withstand higher G loads, and it is considering custom structural supports or longer tracks to reduce Gs depending on customer needs. The team says advances in power electronics make the concept commercially viable today. Financially, the company disclosed a $4.6M seed round plus $1.4M in AFWERX/SpaceWERX contracts and has raised $12.2M to date across VC and DOD grants.

Teleo develops retrofit autonomy—called Teleo Supervised Autonomy—that converts bulldozers, wheel loaders, excavators, terminal tractors and other heavy equipment into remote‑operated and autonomous machines. The platform enables one operator in a central command center to supervise multiple machines simultaneously, locally or thousands of miles away. Teleo is expanding beyond construction into industries such as pulp and paper, logging, port logistics, munition clearing, agriculture, and is targeting airports, waste and recycling, logistics and warehousing. The company announced a global dealer partner network launched in 2023 with partners in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, North Africa and the Middle East. Teleo says it recently received orders for 34 machines from nine new customers across new and existing industries. Since inception in 2019 the company has raised $29.8 million. Teleo offers equipment operations by turning existing construction and mining equipment into semi-autonomous robots using its Teleo Supervised Autonomy technology. The system lets contractors operate heavy equipment without an operator in the cab, enabling a single operator to control multiple machines from a remote desk. Led by CEO Vinay Shet, the company sells through multiple distribution channels, including partnerships with heavy equipment distributors. Teleo announced an official partnership with RDO Equipment Co., a major construction equipment and technology supplier and one of John Deere’s largest dealerships. The company plans to use newly raised capital to scale deployment of its product and to further invest in R&D focused on its Supervised Autonomy technology. Bedrock Materials is developing sodium-ion battery chemistry that omits lithium and is intended to be substantially cheaper due to sodium's abundance. The company is targeting stagnant downmarket automotive segments first, notably 12-volt starter batteries and lead‑acid replacements, with an eventual goal of moving upmarket toward EV traction batteries as the technology improves. Bedrock says its chemistry addresses brittleness seen in higher-energy sodium formulations, though sodium-ion batteries still have lower energy density than lithium-ion. To validate the chemistry, the company is producing materials for third-party testing and recently opened an R&D facility in Chicago to support development. Founder Spencer Gore, who previously worked at Tesla and Enovix, steered the company to Illinois in part for lower operating costs and proximity to Argonne National Lab research. Financially, Bedrock recently completed a $9 million seed round to fund testing and R&D work.
