  • Paxos Labs

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2026

Paxos Labs grew out of an internal Paxos initiative to simplify how companies integrate with DeFi markets and create branded stablecoins. Its core product is a single software suite that lets developers mint white‑label stablecoins, enable customers to earn interest on holdings, and borrow using tokens as collateral. The spin-off was created to allow the team freedom to experiment with a wider array of crypto assets amid regulatory ambiguity in DeFi. Leadership includes Bhaumik Kotecha as cofounder of Paxos Labs and Chad Cascarilla serving as CEO of both Paxos and Paxos Labs. The company already counts customers such as the neobank Hyperbeat and the developers behind Aleo. Paxos Labs reported it is on pace to break even by the end of the year.

  • Sprinter

    Participated · Seed · Nov 2025

Sprinter is building infrastructure to boost on-chain transaction execution by empowering off-chain bots, algorithms, and market makers known as solvers. Its flagship product, Sprinter Stash, is a cross-chain credit protocol that lets liquidity providers deposit USDC and extend collateral-free credit to solvers while earning fees. Complementing this is Sprinter Solve, a request-for-quote swap API suite designed for dApps, wallets, and other protocols. The platform uses a native governance token, SPRINT, with veSPRNT staking to align incentives among liquidity providers, solvers, and the broader community. Currently in private beta, the project is led by several long-time Ethereum contributors, including ChainSafe Systems CEO Aidan Hyman and former ENS developer Dean Eigenmann. Future plans center on expanding liquidity sources, onboarding more solver clients, and moving toward a public launch. To finance development and market entry, the company has secured $5.2 million in seed funding.

  • Glider

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2025

Founded in 2024, Glider offers a financial orchestration layer that automates every step of on-chain portfolio construction, execution, and rebalancing across multiple blockchains. The product combines a consumer-friendly interface with a robust B2B API, enabling both individual investors and partners such as wallets, AI agents, DEXs, and lending protocols to embed automated portfolios directly into their services. Key features include customizable portfolio templates, cross-chain liquidity sourcing, integrated lending through protocols like Aave, collaborative strategy sharing, and historical back-testing tools. The platform is non-custodial, letting users connect existing wallets (MetaMask, Rainbow, Safe, WalletConnect, etc.) without new seed phrases. Glider positions itself as the next evolution of DeFi by removing gas-fee management, network switching, and slippage calculations from the user workflow. Proceeds from its recent fundraise will be used to expand the team and accelerate its mission to make sophisticated crypto portfolio management accessible to both newcomers and experienced traders. While the company has not disclosed revenue or user numbers, it emphasizes capturing market share as more investors seek streamlined on-chain execution.

  • Sorella Labs

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2024

Sorella Labs is a San Francisco, CA–based crypto startup led by CEO Ludwig Thouvenin that focuses on solving Ethereum's Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) problem by creating sustainable on-chain markets. Its products include Brontes, a tool to identify MEV activities and process Ethereum blocks, and Angstrom, which integrates into Uniswap V4. The company raised $7.5M in funding in a round led by Paradigm with participation from Nascent, Uniswap Ventures, Robot Ventures, and Bankless Ventures. Sorella intends to use the funds to expand operations and accelerate development efforts. The financing is aimed at supporting further product development and integration work on Ethereum protocols.

  • Shadow

    Participated · Seed · Dec 2023

Shadow is a data workflow platform that aims to lower the cost and complexity of developing on Ethereum by using private execution environments called shadow forks. Shadow forks are offchain read-only execution environments that mirror the state of a public blockchain in real time and are optimized for data access. The platform provides hosted tools and infrastructure to spin up shadow forks, add custom event logs and view functions, access shadow fork data via standard RPC methods, view a real-time feed of shadow events, and backfill or export historical transactions. Shadow enables teams to log anything on any smart contract gaslessly, which the company says unlocks deeper data coverage, cheaper smart contracts, and faster product iteration for builders in crypto. The company also manages nodes for both the shadow fork and the public chain, keeps state in sync (including re-orgs), compiles and deploys contracts on shadow forks, offers proxy patterns for factory-created contracts, provides RPC endpoints, and exports decoded and indexed event data. Shadow was founded by siblings Alvin and Emily Hsia, who previously held technical roles at Airbnb, and has announced a $9 million seed round led by Paradigm.
