Karban Envirotech manufactures energy-efficient consumer appliances, notably a bladeless ceiling fan with built-in air purifier and lights. The company raised Rs 8.93 crore ($1.07M) in a seed round led by Titan Capital, Rainmatter and All In Capital. Karban said it will use the funds to fuel growth, strengthen its team and support innovation and new product development. Founded in December 2021 by Karan Bansal and Tanya Goyal, Karban is targeting the Indian smart consumer appliances market, pegged at about Rs 50,000 crore. It competes with new-age players like Atomberg and established firms such as Havells, Crompton and Superfan.
