Brassica is a FinTech startup developing institutional-grade backend banking and investment infrastructure as a service for private investing and alternative assets. It provides multiple embedded financial tools and highly regulated services via API, positioning itself as a one-stop shop that can integrate with any platform's native UX/UI. The company combines proprietary technology with regulatory licenses after its wholly owned subsidiary, Brassica Trust Company, was granted a Wyoming Trust Charter. Founded in 2021 by Youngro Lee (CEO) and Bob Dunton (CTO), its leadership team includes executives with experience at Republic, NextSeed, Cleary Gottlieb, Kirkland Ellis, Morgan Stanley, Custodia Bank, LedgerX, Prime Trust, JP Morgan Chase, and M1 Finance. Brassica closed an $8M seed led by Mercury Fund, bringing total capital raised to over $12M, and will use the funding to scale product, engineering, business development, and customer success and to hire a full-service trust operations team in Wyoming.
