Together with successful founders, key academic and industry partners, Venturelab designs and operates programs to bring Switzerland's best startup talents to the next level. Our mission is to support entrepreneurs towards successful fundraising and business growth throughout the evolution of their company. Venturelab has 15 years of experience bringing Switzerland’s best entrepreneurs to the heart of technology hotspots: Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, Barcelona, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. Companies founded by the 360 Venture Leaders alumni have created more than 3,500 jobs and raised more than 1.7 billion Swiss francs in capital. We are also particularly proud of the success of our mandate to run the operations of the Venture Kick Foundation since its launch in 2007. So far, the program of financial support, training and network, has led to the creation of 519 companies and +7,000 jobs. Venture Kick alumni companies have attracted a total of 3.5 billion francs, and represent 54 companies ranked at the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award 2019.

1Drop is a life science company based in Boston, MA and Neuchatel, Switzerland that develops and commercializes a laboratory-quality, portable medical diagnostic testing platform. Led by founder and CEO Dr. Luc Gervais, the company enables personalized healthcare through non-invasive diagnostic tests that provide actionable health information from a single drop of blood applied to a biochip. Its diagnostic solutions support multiplexed assays of proteins, nucleic acids and peptides for new therapy development, disease research and clinical diagnostic tests. The company’s device has been clinically validated in hospitals, clinical laboratories and with pharmaceutical companies. 1Drop collaborates with Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, NASA and EPFL and is working with three pharmaceutical partners to create companion diagnostics for cardiology, autoimmune disease and glucose metabolism drug candidates. Following its Series A, 1Drop plans to expand research and development and to commercialize its medical diagnostics platform.

The ultra-bright, ultra-uniform, and ultra-thin fibers outperform conventional LEDs in precision, efficiency, and flexibility. The company targets demanding use cases including industrial machine vision for precision inspection, high-end automotive signal and contour lighting, and advanced medical illumination where energy efficiency and performance are critical. L.E.S.S. recently showcased the world’s first series-production vehicle featuring its LuxiBright technology, underscoring its automotive ambitions. Management emphasizes that innovation must scale with quality, and the firm is now focused on accelerating commercial execution.
