ViCentra develops and manufactures Kaleido, an insulin patch pump positioned as the smallest, lightest and most precise pump in its class. The system integrates with Diabeloop’s DBLG1 and DBLG2 hybrid closed-loop algorithms to deliver automated insulin therapy, and it is styled with premium materials and interchangeable aluminium shells in ten colours to resemble consumer technology rather than a traditional medical device. ViCentra currently commercialises Kaleido in parts of Europe and is expanding production capacity to meet strong demand. With fresh capital in hand, the company plans to bolster commercial execution in Germany, the Netherlands and France, while accelerating regulatory and operational preparations to enter the U.S. market. Management has set a goal to nearly triple its European user base by the end of 2026. Financially, ViCentra has secured a total of $98 million in Series D funding, including an $85 million tranche closed in September 2025 and a $13 million extension announced in the latest round.

EFA Technologies develops RevDx, a portable diagnostic blood lab that uses microscopy and AI to identify pathogens, analyze biomarkers and deliver rapid, accurate results including a full CBC from a single drop of blood. RevDx is designed to be portable, affordable and user-friendly, aiming to reduce costs and time while improving the doctor–patient relationship. The company packages multi-channel capabilities—automatic microscopy and bio-sensing readers—into a platform intended to support additional diagnostic applications and an ecosystem of image-processed algorithms. EFA holds CE certification and secured ANVISA approval for RevDx, enabling its market entry into Brazil and prompting exploration of other international markets. Financially, EFA announced it secured US$6.5 million in growth capital to accelerate product development, expand market reach and foster further innovation. The company is backed by a medical board including Nobel Laureate Prof. Aaron Ciechanover. Engineering for All is developing RevDx©, a digital diagnostic programmable lab-on-hand system that the article says can enable fully automated microscopy diagnostics and real-time disease mapping through a handheld, real-time multichannel solution. The device is described as portable and self-powered, with full CBC and parasitology capabilities, infectious-disease diagnosis, and features intended to enable precise and affordable test-treat-track treatment. The company is working on a functional prototype and has won several awards in Israel; it has also presented with delegations in India and Taiwan. Financially, the company raised $900k in seed funding. The investment came from eHealth Ventures, an Israeli digital-health technological incubator led by CEO Yoel Ezra. Engineering for All is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Microsure develops robot-assisted systems for microsurgery, notably the MUSA-3 which is designed in close cooperation with microsurgeons and engineers. The company says MUSA-3 provides precision for microsurgeons and enables interventions that are virtually impossible to perform by hand. Microsure intends to use the new funding to finalize MUSA-3 development for clinical studies, followed by FDA clearance in the USA and CE-marking in Europe. The company is led by CEO Sjaak Deckers and was founded in 2016 by Eindhoven University of Technology and Maastricht University Medical Center. Microsure is based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and currently employs over 30 technical professionals. The recent financing strengthens its position to complete clinical validation and regulatory approvals. Microsure develops robot-assisted systems for microsurgery; its leading product MUSA is the first CE-marked and clinically available surgical robot assistant for open microsurgery. MUSA scales down motion and filters tremor to provide steadier manipulation, targeting procedures such as lymphatic-venous anastomosis, distal nerve repair and vascularized tissue transplantation. The company closed a €2.7 million Series B extension to continue the initial clinical roll-out and to further develop improvements to the system. The planned broader market availability of the improved MUSA system is expected in the course of 2022 after Covid-19 related delays. Microsure was founded in 2016 and is based in Eindhoven; it works with clinical and technical advisors including Maastricht University Medical Center+ as a leading clinical partner.
