- Quipu
Participated · Series A · Feb 2026
Quipu is a fintech founded at MIT by Mercedes Bidart that focuses on lending to people whom conventional banks typically decline. The company has developed a proprietary credit-scoring model that has already evaluated more than 300,000 financially excluded users. Leveraging this data, Quipu has originated about US$8 million in loans through strategic partnerships. Its technology-driven approach aims to broaden financial inclusion in Latin America, starting with its home market of Colombia. The firm’s scoring solution allows it to underwrite risk more accurately for an often overlooked customer segment. With fresh capital, the company is expected to expand its lending capacity and refine its risk models. To date, Quipu has secured a cumulative US$4.6 million in equity funding, supporting both product development and market expansion.

Ladorian, founded in 2016, offers Ladorian iDS, a SaaS platform that adapts and delivers personalized messages across physical devices (TVs, mobiles, digital labels, tickets, megaphony) using heterogeneous data sources. Its platform uses "offline cookies," prime-time algorithms and machine learning to identify optimal moments to recommend content based on factors like stock, sales, hours and even exterior temperature. Ladorian also provides installation, maintenance and content production services, positioning itself as a full-solution provider for digitalizing physical points of sale. The company reports more than €10 million in revenue over the past three years and says its product can increase sales of advertised items by up to 30%. Ladorian is part of Lanzadera's Growth program and says new funding will be used to further develop and sophisticate its product and to consolidate and accelerate international expansion. It currently has offices in Spain, Italy, Colombia and the USA and plans additional offices and country launches in Mexico, France, Germany and the UK.
