We lease out arable lands, give advice and help to find the best solution based on the partner’s needs. Kwota is a Tallinn-based cleantech startup aiming to establish a global standard that validates and trades carbon emissions savings from using recycled materials in production. The company plans to use NFT and Web3 technologies to create a digital footprint that guarantees unique transparency of carbon savings reporting and trading. Founder and CEO Rain Vääna says Kwota seeks to drive global disruption in the material manufacturing industry and channel more money to producers who use recycled materials. Change Ventures’ Yrjö Ojasaa commented that Kwota flips the economics of CO₂ credits in favor of carbon reducers and revamps the economics of recycling. Kwota raised €1.5 million in a pre-seed round. The round was led by Change Ventures with participation from Wise Guys Ventures, Lemonade Stand, Greenco Ventures, Vestman Energy, and angel investor Janis Krūms.

Waybiller is an Estonia-based logistics startup that provides e-waybill software to replace paper waybills with digital documents. Founded in 2019 by a team with strong logistics industry experience, the product was developed with specialists from large Estonian road construction companies and agricultural firms and is supported by the Road Administration of Estonia. The platform automates workflows among shippers, carriers and receivers, integrates with harbours and quarry operations, and offers automations for freight shippers and warehouse processes. Waybiller says its solution can lower handling costs by up to four times and helps replace manual labour with software to reduce administration costs. Its clients include TREV-2, Nordecon, KEVILI and nearly 4,000 other companies across Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway. Financially, Waybiller raised €500K in the announced funding round and previously received a €326K Green ICT grant in 2020.
