- Perciv AI
Participated · Seed · Dec 2024
Perciv AI develops AI-driven radar perception solutions that enhance the capabilities of radar systems. The company was founded by Balazs Szekeres, Dr. Andras Palffy, and Srimannarayana Baratam. Its technology combines next-generation AI with radar and radar-camera fusion to deliver performance similar to LiDAR at a much lower cost. Perciv AI’s solutions are designed to work with various radar types, ranges, and use cases. The company raised €2.5 million in a seed round to support expansion of its radar-based perception solutions across automotive, robotics, and aerospace industries. The press release lists the company website and categorizes its software as AI Radar Perception. Perciv AI builds 3D machine perception technology for autonomous vehicles. The company is using that core technology to develop autonomous agricultural drones. A Eurostars grant will fund a three-year project to build those advanced drones. The drones are intended to understand and react to their surroundings using Perciv AI’s perception stack. That capability aims to make spraying easier, safer and more efficient. The project also targets minimizing unnecessary chemical use through more precise operations.
- Thingtrax
Participated · Series A · Jul 2023
Thingtrax provides an IoT SaaS manufacturing performance platform that captures and analyses real-time manufacturing operations data to drive productivity and process improvement across manufacturing operations. The platform integrates with over 300 devices and protocols and leverages cloud computing, robotics, IIoT, AI and computer vision. Thingtrax's integrated solution is designed to help manufacturers improve efficiency and reduce costs. The company was founded in 2015 by Aman Gupta and Imran Shafqat and is led by CEO Paul Reader. It intends to use the new funding to develop strategic partnerships, scale the team and expand its customer base in Europe and the US. The article reports a £4.3M Pre-Series A raise but provides no revenue or user metrics. ThingTrax’s core product is an end-to-end platform that links machines, robotics and employees via cloud computing, IoT, AI and computer vision, presenting all data in one dashboard. The company recently added computer vision capabilities to monitor manufactured objects and on‑floor employees. Customers use the vision features for COVID‑19 social distancing compliance and internal contact tracing at some facilities. The platform is deployed across plastics, automotive, FMCG, medical and packaging factories, with industry-specific benefits such as energy efficiencies and redeploying skilled workers to reduce downtime. The recent financing will fund global customer acquisition and expansion of sales and technical teams. Founders include Aman Gupta (formerly at IBM) and Imran Shafqat (former Microsoft cloud architect). ThingTrax offers a Software-as-a-Service industrial IoT platform and gateway that integrates with more than 300 devices and protocols to rapidly onboard manufacturing shop floors. The platform captures machine and operator data in real time and provides actionable business insights for manufacturers. The company plans to use the new funding to grow its customer base and continue developing the platform. ThingTrax was founded in 2015 by Aman Gupta and Imran Shafqat and is based in London, UK. It recently graduated from the Startupbootcamp IoT program. The company has received support from AI Seed Fund and FOMCAP.
- SunGreenH2
Participated · Seed · Aug 2022
SunGreenH2 has developed a proprietary nanostructured, alloy-based electrode for electrolysis that forms a 3D sponge-like surface, more than doubling current density and hydrogen output while reducing precious-metal use by about 30x. The electrode increases active surface area and, the company says, is compatible with virtually all modern electrolyzers. To address nanostructure fragility, SunGreenH2 uses a "sacrificing catalyst" that corrodes in a way that preserves or enhances the main catalyst's lifespan. Initially the company intends to sell the electrode component separately; next year it plans to partner with system integrators to produce whole electrolysis stacks and later pursue more end-to-end solutions with larger companies. SunGreenH2 also plans to apply its platform to related green-transition materials, including PTLs and bipolar plates for fuel cells, electrodes for batteries, and photoelectrodes for direct solar-to-hydrogen panels. The company has raised $2 million in seed funding to set up its first manufacturing facilities in Melbourne to meet demand from early, confidential partners in the EU, U.S., Canada, Japan and Singapore.
- Mobilus Labs
Led · Equity · Jan 2022
