- Light
Participated · Series B · Dec 2025
Light is a Tokyo-based startup building Palmu, a live-streaming–driven platform designed to serve as a welcoming digital "home" where diverse users can gather, interact, and grow communities. The product supports multiple streaming styles and participation modes, allowing both beginners and experienced creators to engage in ways that feel natural to them. Light continually refines the service to emphasize safety, fairness, and transparent community management. The company plans to invest heavily in improving product quality, expanding features that strengthen community connections beyond basic streaming, and enhancing mechanisms that prevent trouble before it occurs. Additional capital will also support governance, internal controls, and strategic hiring to scale the organization for medium- to long-term growth. Including the latest raise, Light’s total funding has reached ¥2.15 billion, giving the team resources to accelerate product innovation and organizational expansion.
- Saishin Technologies
Participated · Seed · Nov 2025
Saishin Technologies positions artificial intelligence not as a tool but as a co-artist, generating new forms of entertainment that blend music, visuals, narratives and immersive worlds. The company believes AI-augmented human sensibilities can create unprecedented “emotion and immersion,” shifting entertainment from something audiences watch to something they help create. With its latest funding, Saishin Technologies will accelerate development of original IP, strengthen its operating structure and aggressively recruit artists, directors and producers. The firm also intends to scale its content for global distribution while building an entertainment infrastructure for the next generation. Founder and CEO Xiaokan Hayashi leads the team from the company’s headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo. Former ANYCOLOR COO Taiki Iwanaga has joined as a strategic advisor to support growth. Including the current round, the company’s cumulative funding totals roughly ¥200 million.
- Zeal Boxing Fitness
Participated · Series A · Oct 2025
Zeal Boxing Fitness, run by Tokyo-based Zeal Co., offers beginner-friendly boxing gyms under the motto “Punch and Smile – a body that moves is beautiful.” In just one year the company scaled from zero to 35 locations and has already signed franchise agreements covering all eight geographic regions of Japan. During the same period, paid membership grew roughly ten-fold, underscoring strong demand in what the company calls a blue-ocean market with only 279 boxing gyms versus 12,543 traditional fitness facilities nationwide. Zeal positions boxing as an entertainment-infused alternative to conventional workouts and plans to integrate apps, wearables, AI and even e-sports elements to enrich the user experience. With an eye toward aggressive growth, management targets a 500-store footprint by March 2028 through both franchise and company-owned outlets. Proceeds from the latest funding will bolster store roll-outs, strengthen headquarters operations, and support hiring across business development, marketing, operations and corporate functions. The company believes turning exercise from “painful perseverance” into “enjoyable excitement” will unlock a large, underserved customer base and drive continued rapid expansion.
- Visual Bank
Participated · Series B · Aug 2025
Visual Bank positions itself as an "IP x AI Enabler," combining rights-cleared visual content and AI to support creators and the IP industry. Its core products include Visual Library (the inherited Amana Image stock-photo business), Qlean Dataset (rights-cleared AI training datasets), and THE PEN, an AI-assisted tool for manga creators run via a subsidiary. The company leads a government-supported GENIAC project with Japan's METI and NEDO to build a next-generation data library tailored to the domestic IP sector. Visual Bank plans to use new funds to accelerate THE PEN product development, expand IP×AI services derived from the data library, pursue strategic M&A, and recruit core talent. Financially, it completed a Series B equity round of approximately ¥1.1 billion; the company was founded in April 2022 after acquiring Amana Image and previously executed fundraising totalling ¥2.1 billion at founding. Visual Bank leverages rights-processing, data-structuring, and large-scale data management capabilities to enable coexistence between IP holders and AI.
