  • Chai Discovery

    Participated · Series C · Jul 2026

Chai Discovery develops AI models that reason about biological structure and function to generate new molecular designs from scratch and put those models into a software platform used by pharma teams. The company reports partnerships and deployments with major pharmaceutical firms, including Eli Lilly and Pfizer. Its model lineup includes Chai-2, released in 2025 as the first zero-shot generative platform for fully de novo antibody design to achieve double-digit experimental success rates, and Chai-3, which materially improves target success rates and binding affinity versus its predecessor. Founded in 2024 and based in San Francisco, Chai aims to bring engineering precision, speed and scale to pre-clinical discovery. The company recently raised $400M in a Series C at a $3.8B valuation to accelerate R&D, deployment and partnerships.

  • Turquoise Health

    Participated · Series C · Mar 2026

Turquoise Health operates a transaction efficiency platform that connects pricing data, contract intelligence, and revenue cycle workflows in a unified system. The platform is designed to give healthcare finance teams greater precision in negotiations and to reduce administrative waste. The company is led by CEO Chris Severn and is based in San Diego, CA. Since its founding five years ago, Turquoise has grown to nearly 200 employees and serves more than 280 customers. The company raised $40M in a Series C to fund expansion of operations and continued product development. Existing investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Adams Street Partners, and Yosemite participated in the round alongside new lead Oak HC/FT.

  • Proxima

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2026

Proxima (formerly VantAI) is building a platform that maps protein-protein interactions across the proteome and designs small-molecule drugs that modulate those interactions. Its NeoLink structural-proteomics system generates large-scale complex data, while the companion Neo AI model suite applies frontier machine-learning techniques to identify and design molecular glues, PROTACs, and other proximity-modulating compounds. The company focuses on expanding the druggable target space in oncology, immunology, and additional disease areas, aiming to improve safety and shorten development timelines for historically “undruggable” targets. Proxima has already secured multibillion-dollar research collaborations with Johnson & Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Blueprint Medicines (now part of Sanofi), with the first co-developed program expected to enter clinical trials in 2026. It maintains both an internal pipeline and extensive external partnerships to advance novel proximity therapeutics. Financially, the firm closed an oversubscribed $80 million seed round and benefits from the non-dilutive value of its large pharmaceutical collaborations. Headquartered in New York and Boston, Proxima is positioning its technology and data layer as foundational infrastructure for the next generation of AI-driven drug discovery.

  • Solve Therapeutics

    Led · Equity · Nov 2025

Solve Therapeutics is a San Diego-based, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on creating best-in-class antibody-drug conjugates for solid tumor malignancies. Its proprietary CloakLink™ linker platform is engineered to lower ADC hydrophobicity, improve pharmacokinetics, enhance plasma stability, and reduce toxicity, thereby expanding the therapeutic index of ADCs. The lead assets, SLV-154 and SLV-324, are both in Phase 1 clinical trials and are paired with novel diagnostic tools to enable precision patient selection. Founded by executives behind VelosBio and Acerta Pharma, the company aims to integrate therapeutic and diagnostic development for a more personalized oncology approach. The new financing lifts the firm’s total capital raised to $321 million, following a $75 million round closed in December 2024. Proceeds will fund completion of Phase 1b studies for both lead programs and broaden operational capabilities as the pipeline advances toward later-stage trials.

  • Azalea Therapeutics

    Participated · Series A · Nov 2025

Azalea Therapeutics engineers Enveloped Delivery Vehicles (EDVs) that transport transient CRISPR-Cas9 cargo directly to specific cell types for precise, in-vivo genome editing. Its lead program uses CD19-targeting EDVs and T-cell-tropic AAVs to insert a CAR construct at a defined genomic locus, producing physiologic and sustained CAR-T activity against B-cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases. Additional pipelines include a BCMA-targeted in-vivo CAR-T for multiple myeloma and an undisclosed solid-tumor program, with plans to extend the platform to other cell types. By eliminating ex-vivo manufacturing, Azalea aims to deliver potent, durable and safe therapies conveniently inside patients. Co-founded by Nobel laureate Jennifer Doudna, along with Michael Fischbach, Justin Eyquem and Jenny Hamilton (CEO), the company brings deep expertise in genome engineering, synthetic biology and cell therapy. To date, Azalea has secured $82 million in seed and Series A financing to advance its lead programs through IND-enabling studies and into early clinical trials.
