The software is already deployed across the United States, Australia and Europe, where care teams have used it in more than 280,000 cancer treatment consultations and to automate over 75,000 treatment plans. With fresh funding, the company plans to expand its U.S. go-to-market and clinical success teams, bolster its clinical informatics capabilities, and further personalize its AI tools. Lumonus positions itself as a partner to oncology teams seeking data-driven, workflow-centric solutions. Financially, the startup has raised a total of $28 million in Series B financing, following a seed round backed by Oncology Ventures in March 2025.
- NexCure
Participated · Series A · Mar 2026
NexCure is a Boston-based healthcare startup that aims to remove geographic, financial, and logistical barriers to life-saving cell and gene therapies. The company is building purpose-built outpatient clinics coupled with a proprietary platform that standardizes protocols, automates care coordination, and integrates AI-powered patient selection, remote monitoring, and operational intelligence. By translating hospital-grade clinical rigor into community settings, NexCure seeks to expand access beyond the ~3 % of U.S. hospitals that currently administer CAR-T treatments. Its model is intended to serve patients, referring oncologists, health systems, payers, and manufacturers who need reliable, scalable sites of care. Founded by Raven, RA Capital’s healthcare incubator, the firm is led by an experienced team including former Johns Hopkins Medicine CEO Paul Rothman (Board Chair), CEO Jennifer Smith, CMO Sophie Papa, and CBO Anish More. NexCure has just emerged from stealth with a $19 million Series A round that will fund build-out of its outpatient infrastructure and technology platform. No operating metrics such as revenue or patient volumes have yet been disclosed.
- Biomakers
Participated · Series A · Jan 2026
BIOMAKERS, headquartered in San Francisco, has built an integrated precision oncology ecosystem that combines large-scale molecular diagnostics, longitudinal real-world clinical data, and a deeply annotated tumor biobank. Its AI-native platform links genomic insights directly to patient samples and clinical outcomes, equipping life-science partners with intelligence to de-risk R&D, broaden trial access, and speed decision-making across the drug-development lifecycle. The company operates in more than 20 countries and runs clinical laboratories in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina, giving it reach into diverse and under-sampled patient populations. BIOMAKERS’ tumor biobank exceeds 100,000 cases, and the firm maintains direct longitudinal connections to patients, physicians, and healthcare institutions. Having spent years assembling this infrastructure, it is now focused on scaling and monetizing the platform by deploying proprietary AI that structures and harmonizes electronic medical record data. This strategy positions BIOMAKERS as foundational infrastructure for global precision oncology R&D.
- Risa Labs
Participated · Series A · Jan 2026
RISA Labs develops BOSS Console, an AI-driven operating system that plugs into cancer centers’ EMRs, payer portals and other systems to automate patient access, benefits verification, and prior authorization. Its agent-based software reads, reasons and acts across disparate data sources, adapting in real time to changing payer rules and clinical requirements. Deployed at leading U.S. oncology networks, the platform has freed roughly 80 % of administrative staff time, cut denials by up to 40 %, achieved 97.8 % first-pass approval rates, and reduced authorization turnaround from an 8-day backlog to under 24 hours (with a goal of <2 hours). More than 20 full-time equivalents at one site have been redeployed to higher-value tasks, improving both capacity and financial performance. The company’s immediate roadmap includes expanding AI-driven workflows across the full continuum of cancer care and extending its technology to specialty pharmacy operations. Financially, RISA Labs has secured $11.1 million in Series A funding to accelerate nationwide deployment. Founded by CEO Kshitij Jaggi and CTO Kumar Shivang, the company operates out of Palo Alto, California.
