Most production is in Poland, and a Finnish partner manufactures recyclable seats for its CHAYR chair; average delivery time is about three weeks. The company was founded in 2014 and operates across Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France, with seven physical showrooms including locations in Berlin, Paris and Zurich. MYCS plans to use the new funding to expand into additional European markets, starting with the UK, Italy, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Financially, the company reported €10 million in revenues in 2017, up from €5 million in the first year after its online platform launched. mycs is a Berlin-based online retailer that offers customizable, made-to-order furniture. Its product range includes dining, coffee and side tables, wooden office tables, bookshelves, libraries, wall units, wardrobes, sideboards, chests, highboards and TV stands. The company is led by Christoph Jung and Kachun To. mycs raised €10m in a Series A round from Global Founders Capital, TriPos, and angel investors Florian Heinemann and Uwe Horstmann. It intends to use the funds to expand its offerings.
