  Plino is a Turin-based startup that applies generative AI to unify and analyse SMEs’ fragmented financial data—covering accounting, costs, revenue, and cash flow—on a single platform. Its software delivers real-time dashboards, liquidity forecasts, profitability insights, and automatically generated reports, replacing the manual spreadsheet processes common in smaller businesses. Launched less than a year ago, the company already serves more than 100 Italian SMEs across manufacturing, services, food, hospitality, and construction. Customers gain faster, evidence-based decision-making capabilities, reducing reliance on instinct. Plino plans to use newly raised capital to accelerate development of additional AI features such as advanced cash-flow forecasting, natural-language report generation, and granular product- or project-level profitability analysis. The funds will also support expansion of its product, technology, and sales teams and the strengthening of partnerships with professional firms and trade associations. The founding team—Pietro Galimberti, Viola Bonesu, and Enrico Castelli—combine expertise in philosophy, engineering, finance, and AI, embodying the company’s cross-disciplinary approach to innovation.
