Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Madrid, 8Layers specialises in protection of digital identities and launched its platform commercially in May 2026. Its platform integrates Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM), Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), and automated compliance with European frameworks such as ENS, NIS2 and ISO 27001. The company was founded by Daniel García Morán, Pedro Palao, Pablo Carretero and Iago Salgado, and three founders were part of the founding team of Devo. 8Layers aims to address rising credential-based attacks and growing regulatory requirements faced by financial institutions and other organisations. The recent pre-Seed extension brings total funding to €2.5 million to support go-to-market and European commercial expansion.
