Overview

Aiosyn builds AI-driven digital pathology software designed to automate complex diagnostic tasks and improve the speed and precision of pathology workflows. Its algorithms aim to deliver faster, more consistent results for pathologists and provide more actionable insights for clinicians, potentially reducing healthcare costs and improving cancer patient outcomes. The company is a spin-off of the Computational Pathology Group of Radboudumc in Nijmegen and is led by CEO and co-founder Patrick de Boer. Aiosyn announced a €2.4M funding round to accelerate development and rollout of its diagnostic solutions. It plans to expand its portfolio to include novel AI-powered digital pathology biomarkers and advanced tools for preclinical image analysis. A strategic partnership with TNO will support clinical testing and market launch by providing access to TNO’s research facilities and network. Aiosyn is a Netherlands-based startup developing an AI-powered diagnostics platform to support pathologists in clinical diagnostics. The company focuses on creating, integrating, and approving AI solutions for difficult-to-diagnose conditions including breast and prostate cancer, and offers solutions for biotech, pharmaceutical, and diagnostics firms. Founded in 2021 as a spin-off of the Computational Pathology Group of Radboudumc, Aiosyn is led by CEO and co-founder Patrick de Boer. In 2021 the company developed two algorithms and established its certification process, and it has recently received ISO 13485 certification. Aiosyn plans to use its technology to improve digital pathology workflows and clinical diagnostic tasks in close synergy with pathologists. The recent funding is intended to accelerate its first product launch and lay the foundation for a future product roadmap.
