Its algorithms aim to deliver faster, more consistent results for pathologists and provide more actionable insights for clinicians, potentially reducing healthcare costs and improving cancer patient outcomes. The company is a spin-off of the Computational Pathology Group of Radboudumc in Nijmegen and is led by CEO and co-founder Patrick de Boer. Aiosyn announced a €2.4M funding round to accelerate development and rollout of its diagnostic solutions. It plans to expand its portfolio to include novel AI-powered digital pathology biomarkers and advanced tools for preclinical image analysis. A strategic partnership with TNO will support clinical testing and market launch by providing access to TNO’s research facilities and network. Aiosyn is a Netherlands-based startup developing an AI-powered diagnostics platform to support pathologists in clinical diagnostics. The company focuses on creating, integrating, and approving AI solutions for difficult-to-diagnose conditions including breast and prostate cancer, and offers solutions for biotech, pharmaceutical, and diagnostics firms. Founded in 2021 as a spin-off of the Computational Pathology Group of Radboudumc, Aiosyn is led by CEO and co-founder Patrick de Boer. In 2021 the company developed two algorithms and established its certification process, and it has recently received ISO 13485 certification. Aiosyn plans to use its technology to improve digital pathology workflows and clinical diagnostic tasks in close synergy with pathologists. The recent funding is intended to accelerate its first product launch and lay the foundation for a future product roadmap.

    ViCentra develops and manufactures Kaleido, an insulin patch pump positioned as the smallest, lightest and most precise pump in its class. The system integrates with Diabeloop’s DBLG1 and DBLG2 hybrid closed-loop algorithms to deliver automated insulin therapy, and it is styled with premium materials and interchangeable aluminium shells in ten colours to resemble consumer technology rather than a traditional medical device. ViCentra currently commercialises Kaleido in parts of Europe and is expanding production capacity to meet strong demand. With fresh capital in hand, the company plans to bolster commercial execution in Germany, the Netherlands and France, while accelerating regulatory and operational preparations to enter the U.S. market. Management has set a goal to nearly triple its European user base by the end of 2026. Financially, ViCentra has secured a total of $98 million in Series D funding, including an $85 million tranche closed in September 2025 and a $13 million extension announced in the latest round.

    Prolira develops DeltaScan, a non-invasive EEG-based medical device for objective detection and monitoring of acute encephalopathy and delirium using a single-use electrode patch (DeltaScan Patch) and a hardware/software module (DeltaScan Monitor) with AI algorithms. The company says DeltaScan finds 75% more cases than usual care and enables clinicians to assess brain state within minutes. According to Prolira, delirium affects over 3 million hospitalized patients in Europe each year and some 20 million patients in EU and US hospitals are at risk of acute brain failure. Prolira is a 2015 spin-off from University Medical Center Utrecht and currently counts more than 25 hospital departments across the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and the UK as customers. The €5M growth capital will be used to increase uptake in key European countries and, after FDA clearance, to support a launch in the USA.

The company was founded by Dr. Els van der Helm and Jöran Albers and includes a team of sleep PhDs, health experts, and software engineers. Dr. van der Helm was named by Arianna Huffington as one of the five most influential people in the field of sleep and top 20 in well-being. Shleep recently attracted €1.4 million from VCs including Global Founders Capital and Health Innovations and will invest the proceeds to further develop its platform to improve employee productivity, health, and engagement.

    DEARhealth, launched in 2012 by CEO Daniel Hommes, is a health‑AI spin-out from UCLA with operations in Los Angeles and Amsterdam. Its core product is an AI-powered platform that combines medical knowledge and patient data to predict the best care pathway with the lowest risks for chronic conditions including IBD, pain management, liver diseases, ovarian cancer, chronic kidney disease and low back pain. The platform integrates with Electronic Medical Record systems and provides an EMR-integrated application layer for providers to manage patients and shift tasks among specialists, primary care physicians, care coordinators and case managers. Patients are engaged through mobile apps and supervised modules for adherence, mental support, nutritional support, wellness and education. The company plans to use the funding to scale implementation to more hospitals and to expand operations in Europe, opening a European headquarters in Amsterdam. Current goals include validating the UCLA-based approach with additional US and European healthcare providers and planned 2019 deployments in seven European hospitals (four in The Netherlands) and with multiple US hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.
