    CryoCloud provides a cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) SaaS platform that enables researchers to visualise and analyse protein structures at high resolution. The platform automates complex structural biology workflows and gives scientists access to petabytes of storage and dozens of GPUs in minutes rather than months. It uses proprietary machine-learning algorithms to process terabytes of structural data and reduce the time and cost of molecular imaging. CryoCloud aims to make cryo-EM more accessible by lowering hardware and expertise barriers and supporting structure-based drug discovery. The company plans to use the new funding to build the next generation of algorithms and expand its platform capabilities. The €2M Seed round brings total investment to €2.8M following a €500,000 Pre-Seed in 2023. Customers report higher productivity, and the customer base spans more than 25 countries across academia, biotech, and the pharmaceutical industry. CryoCloud provides a cloud-based cryoEM data analysis platform that enables fast, scalable determination of 3D protein structures for drug discovery. Co-founded in 2021 and based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, the company progressed from conceptual stages through various accelerator programs to launch its analysis platform. The platform allows scientists to determine protein structures experimentally and visualize relevant targets in their native or drug-bound state. CryoCloud has moved beyond concept to a launched product and recently closed external financing. It raised €500k in a pre-seed round led by Nina Capital with participation from Utrecht Health Seed Fund and ROM Utrecht Region. The company will use the funds to expand the capabilities of its platform.

The company says the platform can help minimise hospitalisations and complications associated with untreated heart conditions. Cordys is a 2022 spin-out from the University Medical Center Utrecht and is incubated at UtrechtInc. It plans to develop and refine its algorithms through an ongoing research collaboration with UMCU and expand the platform for clinical use.

The company focuses on creating, integrating, and approving AI solutions for difficult-to-diagnose conditions including breast and prostate cancer, and offers solutions for biotech, pharmaceutical, and diagnostics firms. Founded in 2021 as a spin-off of the Computational Pathology Group of Radboudumc, Aiosyn is led by CEO and co-founder Patrick de Boer. In 2021 the company developed two algorithms and established its certification process, and it has recently received ISO 13485 certification. Aiosyn plans to use its technology to improve digital pathology workflows and clinical diagnostic tasks in close synergy with pathologists. The recent funding is intended to accelerate its first product launch and lay the foundation for a future product roadmap.

    Founded in 2017 by Ignazio Aleo and Per Slycke, Moveshelf develops a novel information system that integrates movement analysis with clinical procedures to provide decision support and objective, quantitative analysis of complex multimodal datasets. The platform helps medical teams visualise results, centralise patient measurements, and create concise reports to support diagnosis, therapy selection and monitoring across the care cycle. Launch customers include Sint Maartenskliniek, University Medical Center Groningen, Roessingh Rehabilitation Center, and Maastricht University Medical Center, where teams use Moveshelf daily. The company positions its software to improve MD/MSK care by making movement data actionable for clinicians and laboratory technicians. Moveshelf says severe movement disorders are highly prevalent and that structured movement analysis is vital to diagnosis and treatment. It recently raised €1.7M and will use the funds to accelerate growth and international sales.

    TargED Biopharmaceuticals B.V., founded in 2020 as a spin-out from University Medical Center Utrecht, is focused on TGD001, an antibody-enzyme fusion protein that binds von Willebrand factor (VWF) and degrades both VWF and fibrin to dissolve clots. The therapy has completed a Phase 1 first-in-human study that showed a favorable safety profile with no spontaneous bleeding events and potent thrombolytic activity. With its latest funding, the company will initiate two Phase 1/2 clinical studies targeting acute ischemic stroke and thrombotic microangiopathies, expanding trial sites across Europe and the U.S. and aiming for first data in 2026. Unlike approved thrombolytics that target a single pathway, TGD001 leverages the ubiquitous presence of VWF to enable broad clot dissolution. TargED has raised over €60 million in Series A financing to date and also received a blended-finance grant from the European Innovation Council Accelerator in 2025. The fresh capital strengthens its balance sheet and accelerates clinical development toward demonstrating proof-of-concept in multiple life-threatening indications.
