Heidi Health
24-26 Cubitt Street Level 5, Cremorne, Victoria, 3121, Australia
Overview
Founded in 2021 by trauma surgeon Dr. Tom Kelly and technologist Waleed Mussa, Heidi Health offers an AI medical scribe that transcribes and dictates notes, creates personalized patient summaries, and tracks follow-up tasks so physicians can focus on care. The platform is model-agnostic, combining the company’s proprietary models with large models such as Gemini to optimize accuracy, latency and cost. Since launching products in early 2024, Heidi Health says it has returned more than 18 million clinical hours across 70 million patient visits in 116 countries and currently serves over 2 million clinicians each week. The company operates on a freemium model, augmenting its core scribe with paid features and, most recently, an AI agent that calls patients on a doctor’s behalf. Future plans center on expanding product capabilities and broadening access to providers in settings ranging from large hospitals to refugee camps. Key new hires include former Microsoft Chief Medical Officer Dr. Simon Kos and Plaid’s head of revenue Paul Williamson. Heidi Health has raised a total of $96.6 million to date to fund its growth and product development.
