Innovamat designs a curriculum-first math platform that provides classroom materials, teacher guides and digital tools to support in-class instruction rather than pure e-learning. Its approach is research-driven, leveraging frameworks from bodies like NCTM, the Freudenthal Institute, NRICH and OECD and developed by academics and active teachers. The team includes two academics leading curriculum design alongside about 40 teachers and 11 PhDs in math didactics. The company reports adoption by 15,000+ teachers across roughly 2,000 schools, reaching about 350,000 students, and a study it commissioned found students score about 11% higher on standardized tests. Founded in 2017 in Barcelona, Innovamat has expanded from Spain into Italy and multiple Latin American markets and recently began K–5 pilots in New Jersey. It plans to use new funding to expand the business, invest in R&D and open a research center focused on mathematics pedagogy while extending its materials up to age 18.
