InSpek
73 rue Léon Bourgeois, Palaiseau, Ile-de-France, 91120, France
Overview
InSpek develops photonic sensing solutions built around a Raman-on-chip spectroscopy sensor and novel Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) to provide real-time, non-invasive monitoring of bioprocesses. The technology miniaturizes complex optical systems onto a single chip, enabling multi-parameter, high-precision sensing suitable for space-constrained and harsh industrial environments. InSpek targets industries including pharmaceuticals, biofuels, precision fermentation, fine chemicals, agri-tech and food production where continuous insight into cell growth, nutrient levels and metabolic activity can improve yields and reduce waste. The company says its sensors reduce reliance on slow, offline sampling and disposable testing methods, potentially cutting plastic waste from pipettes. Proceeds from the recent raise will be used to commercialize the Raman-on-chip sensor and accelerate deployment across biomanufacturing applications. Leadership quoted in the article includes co-founders Jérôme Michon (CEO) and Ivan-Lazar Bundalo (CTO).
