INVIDI Technologies

202 Carnegie Center, Suite 204, Princeton, New Jersey, 08540, United States

Overview

Invidi develops software applications and a digital set-top box application that deliver targeted advertising and personalized marketing messages to individual TV viewers. Its technology enables the sales of digital products and services such as VOD, PVR, pay-per-view events, internet, voice, wireless services, and triple-play offers. The company has distribution agreements with Dish Network and DirecTV and its technology was trialed in Comcast’s Baltimore system, where addressable ads proved 65% more efficient and 32% more effective. Founded in 2000, Invidi recently secured over $23 million in Series D financing led by Google. As part of the funding, Shishir Mehrotra of Google TV Ads and YouTube Ads joined Invidi’s board, and Google committed to collaborating on TV-ad products with potential integration into Android-based TV software. The round should support expansion of Invidi’s addressable TV-ad offerings and commercial partnerships. Invidi builds technology to target advertisements to individual TV set-top boxes. Its platform targets ads based on age, gender, location, income and ethnicity by analyzing remote-control usage, ratings, program-guide information and census data. The company is based in Princeton, NJ. Earlier capital came from EnerTech Capital, InterWest Partners and Menlo Ventures. Those earlier investors returned to participate in a new $25 million investment led by WPP. No revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the articles.
