Magneto

Molengraaffsingel 10, Delft, Zuid-Holland, 2629 JD, The Netherlands

Overview

Magneto develops 3D-printed magneto-caloric composite materials intended for heat pumps and cooling systems. Its core product enables heat pumps to use liquids such as water instead of high‑GWP refrigerant gases. The company says its material contains no rare elements, can be produced at scale, and that systems using it can save up to 30% of power consumption while producing zero greenhouse gas emissions and lowering cost of ownership. Magneto claims to be the first company in the world able to 3D-print magneto-caloric material. The startup raised €1M in a fresh funding round to build a portfolio of magneto-caloric materials and to develop the first functional cooling systems. At the time of the raise Magneto had 4 FTEs, planned to grow to 7.5 FTEs, and recently opened an office in the YES!Delft incubator.
