  • StemX Bio

    Led · Seed · Aug 2026

StemX Bio creates 3D human pancreatic microtissues—pseudoislets—that mimic native islet insulin release in response to glucose for use by pharma and biotech teams to test drugs and gene therapies. In 2025 the company signed its first paying pilot clients, including a gene therapy study for a US-listed firm. StemX moved into a dedicated lab at Biopartner 3 earlier in the year and won the Golden PLNT "Startup in Absence" award in December. The team has initiated a Eurostars consortium to expand the platform to a second human tissue type. Financially, StemX closed a pre-seed with €350k committed by UNIIQ and LEH and has opened a €3M Seed round, with initial investor conversations underway.

  • FrostByte

    Participated · Seed · May 2026

FrostByte develops cryo-electronics intended to operate at extremely low temperatures for quantum technologies, including specialized cryo-CMOS circuits. The company also produces cryogenic integrated circuits and switches to control, bias and read out quantum devices locally. Its approach emphasizes scalability by moving control infrastructure closer to the processor to reduce external cabling, heat generation and system complexity for large-scale qubit systems. FrostByte was founded by James Kroll (CEO) and Luc Enthoven (CTO) with scientific support from Fabio Sebastiano and Masoud Babaie. The company is based in Delft, the Netherlands and recently raised €1.3M to expand operations and development efforts.

  • Spatialise

    Led · Equity · Nov 2024

Spatialise is based in Noordwijk, Netherlands and was founded by Soufiane el Khinifri. The company develops an AI-driven soil health monitoring platform that provides insights into key soil components. Its platform uses satellite data and artificial intelligence to analyze nutrients in farmland topsoil, including organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. In November 2024 Spatialise secured €350,000 in funding from UNIIQ. The investment will support expansion of its technology and enhancement of the AI-driven soil health monitoring platform. UNIIQ is a €50 million fund managed by InnovationQuarter, Leiden University, Erasmus MC, and TU Delft that focuses on accelerating innovations during the proof-of-concept phase.

  • Ore Energy

    Led · Equity · Dec 2023

Ore Energy develops long-duration batteries built from iron, water and air that the company says can store electricity for up to 100 hours. Its chemistry is designed to be manufactured through a fully European supply chain and to avoid reliance on imported critical raw materials such as lithium or cobalt. The startup has signed a major long-duration energy storage system deal with Dutch energy supplier Budget Thuis and aims to commercialise its technology at scale. The company plans to use the proceeds of its recent funding to establish its first manufacturing facility. Financially, Ore Energy has raised a total of $61 million following the $43 million Series A. The company frames its product as addressing a key bottleneck for renewables and industrial growth by providing extended-duration storage capacity.

  • SPHERICAL

    Led · Seed · Nov 2023

SPHERICAL designs semiconductors tailored for satellite electronic subsystems, aiming to deliver smaller, more reliable and highly software-configurable systems. The company says it challenges a 50-year-old electronic design paradigm by designing at the semiconductor level. Founded in 2022 and incubated at the European Space Agency BIC Noordwijk, SPHERICAL is developing chip designs and initial systems ahead of a product launch. CEO and founder Thomas Parry and co-founder Bastiaan Bom lead the technical effort, and the team emphasizes faster, more efficient satellite systems. The company will use the recent funding to advance its chip designs, initial systems and team growth. SPHERICAL intends to demonstrate its technical and commercial relevance on the global stage.
