Overview

Motion provides creative strategists with an analytics and research platform that tracks competitors' paid social ads, builds swipe files from Facebook and TikTok, and analyzes media mix, messaging, and landing pages. The company recently released a new product called Creative Research that extends its utility deeper into the research side of ad production. Motion plans to use the $30M Series B to accelerate its product roadmap, deepen analytics and creative research capabilities, and hire across engineering, product management, marketing, customer success, and sales. The round brought Motion's total funding to $42M and was led by Inovia with participation from Threshold Ventures and existing investors Headline, Abstract Ventures, and Sugar Capital. Motion doubled headcount from 25 to 50 in the past year and serves over 1,000 customers in direct-to-consumer, ecommerce, B2B SaaS, and consumer app verticals, with clients including HexClad, Vuori, True Classic, Jones Road Beauty, and Ridge. Customers use Motion to analyze over $6B in media spend annually; the company also announced that YouTube advertising influencer Dara Denney is joining as Chief Evangelist.
