Overview
Networkme builds a platform that matches students to employers by combining behavioral profiling with assessments of technical skills. The product includes a career simulator, challenges and curated content to help students practice junior-level tasks and improve employability. The company emphasizes social impact and democratizing access to job opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds. Founded in 2020 by CEO Felipe Vieira and CTO Marcelo Manteigas, Networkme has registered 100,000 users and says it has placed more than 50,000 students into the workforce. For its Brazil launch it hired Luciano Cacace as Head Brazil and aims to reach 300,000 Brazilian students in the first year and to place more than 1 million students into work by 2030. Since founding the startup reports having raised a total of €2 million to date. Networkme operates an online platform that creates direct connections between students, professionals, companies and universities to help young people discover which degree/career to pursue and to help companies hire recent graduates. The startup was incubated at Demium and accelerated by Microsoft for Startups, and launched in September 2021. The platform already counts about 28,000 registered university students and nearly 50 partner companies. Networkme employs 20 people and plans to hire 10 more, primarily in technology and finance. Funds from the recent raise will be used to accelerate expansion in Portugal and Spain, reinforce local hiring, and develop new platform features. Planned technological developments include an updated platform and a recommendation system to better match graduates with employer needs.
