Satellites on Fire operates an AI platform for early detection of wildfires and claims faster detection than NASA’s system. In 2025 the platform contributed to responses for more than 600 fires across 21 countries on four continents. Its customer base includes forestry, agricultural and energy companies, insurers and governments, and it is being integrated into Aon’s forest insurance products in Latin America. The company has a team of more than 22 people. Following the $2.7M seed raise, the firm plans to expand into the United States, improve its impact measurement capabilities and launch a parametric fire insurance product in partnership with Aon. Financial details beyond the seed amount and investor list were not disclosed in the articles.
