Following the $2.7M seed raise, the firm plans to expand into the United States, improve its impact measurement capabilities and launch a parametric fire insurance product in partnership with Aon. The company leverages AI agents to automate processes and manage distribution controls. After validating its model in 2025 with BRL 25M in GMV, BackChannel projects BRL 150M in GMV for 2026. Its current network includes 18k retailers and over 100 large sellers, with a take rate of 12% and an average ticket of BRL 50k. The founders are Guillermo Freire and Guillermo Arslanian, formerly of Trocafone, and the new seed funding will be used to scale operations and expand the platform.

  Strong by Form develops Woodflow, a digitally molded structural biomaterial made from wood residues (e.g., radiata pine, fir) combined with resin to produce pieces that the company says reach concrete-level strength at a fraction of the weight and using less wood than cross-laminated timber. Founded in 2018 in Santiago by Andrés Mitnik (CEO), Jorge Christie (CPO) and Daniel Del Río (CTO), the company operates a plant in La Reina with four robots and a laser cutter and employs about 25 people. Its technology has been used in real projects, including a balsa wood cladding installation in the departures hall of Quito airport. The new capital is intended to fund a pilot plant in Spain by late 2027 to scale toward industrial construction applications. Financially, Strong by Form completed a roughly $5M seed in 2023 and has now advanced the first tranche of its third round.

  Solfium offers a unified clean-energy platform that integrates solar generation with energy management systems, battery storage, electric vehicle chargers, and predictive maintenance while connecting suppliers, distributors, employees, and corporate facilities. The company reports that since 2022 it has installed 36,260 solar panels, adding 25 MW of capacity and projected to reduce 281,000 tons of CO2 over 25 years while delivering roughly USD 28 million in savings to customers and electricity consumers. Solfium’s leadership emphasizes enabling access to clean energy for both large corporates and more than five million MSMEs in Mexico, with ambitions to expand further across Latin America. The company closed a $10 million Series A to strengthen its technology stack and accelerate market expansion, with strategic investor support from BDC Capital and LATAM Impact Fund aimed at validating impact and scaling operations. CEO and cofounder Andrés Friedman has highlighted customer energy-cost reductions of up to 95% as a key value proposition. Solfium is headquartered in Montreal and is using its platform and new capital to deepen presence in Mexico and grow distributed solar deployment.
