Founded in 2023 in Tucumán, Argentina, Re-Forest Latam develops hydro-soluble biotechnological 'iSeeds' treated with beneficial microorganisms and disperses them via autonomous drones, supported by satellite imagery and AI to select species and monitor projects. The company reports reductions in implementation time of up to 95% and cost per hectare reductions of up to 75% versus traditional reforestation methods. Its commercial B2B model targets companies with environmental liabilities, landowners and governments, and by the time of the recent round it had 14 active projects across Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia and operations in four countries. Re-Forest Latam received B Corp certification in 2024 and its founders invested personal capital while operating without salary for 28 months to validate the model. The startup projects formal full-scale commercial operations beginning in Q1 2027 with an estimated first-year revenue of US$1,000,000. The company closed a US$1.05M pre-seed round to fund technology development, large-scale pilots, team growth and international go-to-market efforts.

Satellites on Fire operates an AI platform for early detection of wildfires and claims faster detection than NASA’s system. In 2025 the platform contributed to responses for more than 600 fires across 21 countries on four continents. Its customer base includes forestry, agricultural and energy companies, insurers and governments, and it is being integrated into Aon’s forest insurance products in Latin America. The company has a team of more than 22 people. Following the $2.7M seed raise, the firm plans to expand into the United States, improve its impact measurement capabilities and launch a parametric fire insurance product in partnership with Aon.
