  • Calice

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2026

Calice develops computational modeling and AI-driven "virtual trials" that simulate plant–environment–management interactions to predict product performance across climates and regions. Its platform combines environmental sequences with client-provided performance data to reduce the number of physical field experiments and shorten product development timelines; the company reports being able to model future years from one or two years of data and to identify more commercial candidates using fewer test sites. Calice works with major agricultural companies including Syngenta, BASF, Corteva, GDM, TMG, Nufarm, Nuseed and Puna.bio across crops such as soybean, corn, wheat, cotton, sugarcane, barley, canola, carinata, potato and sorghum, with discussions underway for horticulture. Founded in 2022, the company has expanded into Brazil and the United States and employs just over 20 professionals, mainly scientists and agronomists. Financially, it completed a roughly $1 million pre-seed and a $2.5 million seed round to fund expansion, and management plans additional fundraising to accelerate growth.

  • Oncoliq

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2026

Oncoliq develops a blood-based liquid-biopsy test that detects microRNAs elevated in early tumor development and uses machine-learning models to interpret results. The company reports a 90% sensitivity for its first product, Oncoliq Breast, based on its public data and already has revenue. Founded by researchers Marina Simian and Adriana de Siervi, Oncoliq plans to launch Oncoliq Mama as a Laboratory Developed Test toward the end of 2025 and to seek ANMAT approval in Argentina followed by FDA submission for the U.S. market. The startup’s strategy emphasizes a decentralized, low-cost, scalable approach to extend diagnostic access across Latin America. Its roadmap and preliminary validation underpin its current seed fundraising and positioning for future, larger clinical-stage financings.

  • Ab Astra

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2026

Founded in December 2024 by Germán Serrano and Hernán Asorey, Ab Astra develops advanced muongraphy technology that uses cosmic-ray muons to create high-definition images of the interior of large geologic bodies and critical infrastructure. The company targets exploration and production applications in mining of critical minerals such as lithium, copper, uranium and rare earths, and also cites dual-use applications in defense and nuclear sectors. Its technology combines compact next-generation sensors, reconstruction algorithms and AI-driven 3D/4D interpretation models that the founders say can deliver large improvements in spatial resolution versus comparable methods. Ab Astra plans to commercialize through a mix of measurement-and-analysis services, field equipment installation, and a continuous-monitoring platform for 4D subsurface interpretation. Current development work includes first-in-class sensor design, patio testing of initial units, algorithm development and preparation for pilot tests in salt flats (salares). The company positions its solution as a way to reduce exploratory costs, improve resource modeling and support environmental monitoring such as aquifer protection.

  • Satellites on Fire

    Participated · Seed · Apr 2026

Satellites on Fire operates an AI platform for early detection of wildfires and claims faster detection than NASA’s system. In 2025 the platform contributed to responses for more than 600 fires across 21 countries on four continents. Its customer base includes forestry, agricultural and energy companies, insurers and governments, and it is being integrated into Aon’s forest insurance products in Latin America. The company has a team of more than 22 people. Following the $2.7M seed raise, the firm plans to expand into the United States, improve its impact measurement capabilities and launch a parametric fire insurance product in partnership with Aon. Financial details beyond the seed amount and investor list were not disclosed in the articles.

  • metaBIX

    Participated · Equity · Mar 2026

metaBIX operates an environmental biosurveillance platform that combines non-invasive environmental monitoring with AI-driven predictive analytics to anticipate disease outbreaks in animal production systems and detect contamination risks across the food supply chain. The company positions its technology to shift sanitary management from reactive to preventive. metaBIX has active operations across Latin America and Asia and is running field validations with large-scale agricultural operations in Brazil. Brazil is targeted as the company’s primary market for 2026, where it is already working with major producers. Financially, metaBIX completed a $1M round in October 2025 and has now raised an additional $1.3M led by Dalus Capital and EWA Capital. The company aims to build its platform into an infrastructure for agricultural biosecurity worldwide.
