VARM
Rungestrasse 18, Berlin, 10179, Germany
Overview
VARM operates a “Cloud Installer” model that recruits and trains career changers—including former logistics and retail workers—to become certified insulation specialists within weeks. The company organizes regional teams, manages quality control in-house and provides customers fixed-price quotes, claiming a standard single-family home can be insulated in around six hours. VARM was founded by Christian Grüner, a former Siemens Advanta executive, and Sebastian Würz, co-founder of housing platform Homefully. The startup says its approach addresses a major qualified-worker shortage that limits large-scale energy-efficiency upgrades across Europe. With the Series A funding, VARM plans to expand its operations and further scale its workforce model to support growing demand for insulation projects.
