- VARM
Participated · Series A · Jun 2026
VARM operates a “Cloud Installer” model that recruits and trains career changers—including former logistics and retail workers—to become certified insulation specialists within weeks. The company organizes regional teams, manages quality control in-house and provides customers fixed-price quotes, claiming a standard single-family home can be insulated in around six hours. VARM was founded by Christian Grüner, a former Siemens Advanta executive, and Sebastian Würz, co-founder of housing platform Homefully. The startup says its approach addresses a major qualified-worker shortage that limits large-scale energy-efficiency upgrades across Europe. With the Series A funding, VARM plans to expand its operations and further scale its workforce model to support growing demand for insulation projects. The articles did not disclose revenue or user metrics.
- Tangible
Led · Seed · Feb 2026
Tangible’s core offering standardises the data, documentation and ongoing reporting that lenders require, allowing robotics, climate, mobility and data-centre startups to obtain asset-backed debt more quickly and cheaply. Its AI-driven workflows and in-house finance experts cut underwriting time and cost for a network of private credit funds, hedge funds, equipment financiers and traditional banks. By replacing bespoke, manual processes, the platform lets founders run sophisticated debt facilities without building an internal structured-finance team. Tangible currently employs 13 people. The company intends to use its new capital to expand headcount and develop additional products that further streamline debt fundraising. Including this round, Tangible has raised roughly $9.8 million in external funding when combined with the £4 million ($5.45 million) round it closed in 2023. Management believes modern infrastructure is essential for scaling hardtech finance as institutional investors look for faster, lower-friction deployment mechanisms.
- Overstory
Participated · Series B · Nov 2025
Overstory builds an AI-driven grid-resilience platform that analyzes high-resolution satellite data to identify vegetation and infrastructure risks for electric utilities. Its software pinpoints tree-by-tree threats, helping utilities reduce outages, prevent wildfires, and optimize maintenance budgets. The company recently introduced the next generation of its Wildfire Intelligence product, featuring a proprietary Fuel Detection Model that locates the highest-risk fuels and recommends precise mitigation actions. Overstory reports that it now serves six of the ten largest utilities across the Americas. The team has grown to more than 80 employees representing 16 nationalities and spans machine learning, data science, arboriculture, and wildfire expertise. With new leadership from incoming COO Tamara Mendelsohn, the firm plans to accelerate AI risk-model development, broaden its wildfire-prevention suite, and expand its global footprint. Overstory maintains dual headquarters in Boston and Amsterdam.
- Nala Earth
Participated · Seed · Nov 2025
Founded in Berlin in 2023 by Nick Zumbühl, Nicolas Somogyi and Anna Alex, Nala Earth has built a nature intelligence platform that combines a global database of scientifically validated environmental data from more than 50 sources with proprietary AI models that analyse satellite imagery. The software lets corporates quantify dependencies and impacts on ecosystems, manage risks such as biodiversity loss or water scarcity, and comply with emerging regulations like the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). It shortens biodiversity and nature-related reporting cycles from months to days and is aligned with frameworks such as TNFD and the Science Based Targets Network. The company already counts ten paying customers, including projects with Volkswagen and partnerships with BASF and Continental, through which over 3,000 hectares of natural assets are being managed on the platform. Demand is accelerating as executives face mounting pressure to integrate environmental considerations into procurement, operations and investment decisions. With fresh capital, Nala Earth plans to broaden its product capabilities and unlock new use cases across nature and biodiversity management.
- PIONIX
Participated · Seed · Nov 2025
Founded in 2021, Pionix builds on the open-source EVerest stack to provide engineering services, Pionix Cloud software, and ChargeBridge hardware that seamlessly connect charger manufacturers, operators, automakers, and fleets. Its technology targets the industry’s 25 % charging-session error rate by replacing fragmented proprietary systems with an interoperable framework. EVerest has grown into one of cleantech’s largest open-source collaborations, attracting roughly 600 contributors from more than 70 organizations and already powering hundreds of thousands of chargers worldwide. Pionix generates revenue by offering modular enterprise products and services that simplify charger development, integration, and operation. The company plans to expand both its commercial offerings and the open-source community, ensuring long-term compatibility and faster innovation across the EV-charging ecosystem. Fresh capital will fund product scaling, cloud and hardware roll-outs, and deeper engagement with the EVerest contributor base. No other financial metrics were disclosed beyond the latest fund-raise.
