Overview
Zone7 is an AI-driven human performance platform that analyzes disparate datasets, uncovers patterns, and provides proactive recommendations to improve output, detect burnout risk, and mitigate injuries. The device-agnostic platform has an extensive client portfolio in professional sports and is used across the EPL, MLS, NFL, La Liga, Serie A, PRO14 and Premiership Rugby, among other leagues. Its technology is also applied in hospitals for healthcare workforce management. Over the past year the company quadrupled its number of professional sports clients across the U.S. and Europe, developed new partnerships in contact sports and cycling, and expanded into more healthcare settings. Zone7 has made strategic hires to support priorities including service delivery within soccer and maintains offices in Palo Alto, Tel Aviv and London. Led by CEO Tal Brown, the company raised an $8M Series A to support continued client growth and partnerships. Zone7 uses pattern recognition and AI applied to athletes’ past performance and medical history to identify injury risk and recommend when players should rest. Teams in MLB, La Liga, the Champions League, MLS, collegiate athletic departments and Olympic teams are using the company's technology. The company reports a 95 percent accuracy rate in predicting injuries and says it has reduced potential injuries by 75 percent, according to a statement. Founded by Tal Brown and Eyal Eliakim, both veterans of Israel's military technology unit 8200, Zone7's executive team also has experience developing Salesforce's Einstein product and working with professional soccer franchises in Israel. Zone7 raised $2.5 million in seed funding from investors including Resolute Ventures, UpWest, Amicus Capital, Dave Pell, PLG Ventures and NBA star Kristaps Porzingis. The product emphasizes personalized intervention plans to prevent injuries before they occur.
