Overview

AI Startup Incubator (AISI) is a part of Look AI Ventures (LAIV), the first investment fund in the Czech Republic focusing exclusively on early-stage AI startups. Our mission is to empower ambitious teams to realize their business goals and utilize the power of AI. At AISI, we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we tailor cooperation to the needs of every startup and offer our portfolio companies both business and technical/AI expertise in addition to the investment. Based in Prague, the Czech Republic, and operating since 2017, AISI has now integrated its diverse portfolio, network, AI expertise, resources, and proven unique data-driven methodology into the LAIV structure, leading operational processes from within the fund. We invest in pre-seed and seed startups addressing major markets with AI-driven solutions at their core. The tickets go up to 250,000 EUR with the possibility of reinvestment. Our extensive community of international AI & ML experts offers time and resource-efficient solutions to drive the success of our portfolio companies. AI will soon permeate every aspect of our lives across various industries, and AISI aims not only to drive innovation but also to focus on responsible AI.

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2022

VISENSE develops an IIoT diagnostic platform that uses industrial cameras, selected sensors, computer vision and machine learning to detect and analyse visually observable machine errors. The software focuses exclusively on machine processes, requires no data integration, installs within minutes, and can cut the time to identify, report and resolve errors by up to 50%. Founded and led by co‑founder and CEO Christian Reich, the company aims to digitalize process observation and replace manual monitoring by operators and planners. VISENSE has initiated cooperation and completed a PoC with manufacturers including the BMW Group and is working on broader plant integration across automotive, packaging and piping sectors. The startup announced it closed CHF 750,000 (approximately €750,000) in pre‑seed funding to further develop its AI and ML software. The team positions the product as the "eyes" and "brain" of systems that autonomously detect and save machine error incidents in automated, visually‑observable production environments.

The solution lets fitness equipment manufacturers digitize legacy machines, simplify deployment and create new recurring revenue streams. Trackbar has run pilots at several gyms including Anytime Fitness and presented CURVE at FIBO’22, where it won the Innovation and Trend Award in the Performance category. The company announced a technology partnership with equipment maker ERGOFIT and says it will use further funding to extend sales activities and advance product innovation. • Subly

    Participated · Seed · May 2021

Subly is a London-based platform, founded in 2018, that provides online subtitling, transcription and translation tools for creators and businesses. The product enables users to transcribe, translate and add subtitles without professional skills. The company says it saw exponential growth during 2020 and growth in users and paid customers. Subly currently serves customers in over 150 countries. The €820K seed raise will support further development of its services and technologies, expansion of the team, and continued international growth. New investors were chosen for their SaaS and tech expertise, and the company completed its launch, growth and fundraising with a fully remote team. Subly offers automatic transcription and “automagical” subtitling for videos, aiming to save businesses and individuals time and make content more accessible. The startup supports multiple languages including French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Italian, serving customers across Europe. Founded in early 2020 and split between the UK and Australia, Subly has seen a surge in users during lockdown as institutions, creators and companies move online. Its user base includes teachers using distance learning, NHS and government announcements, and businesses and creators across sectors. The company highlights accessibility benefits for viewers who watch without sound and for people with hearing impairments. Subly will keep subtitling free for content creators and plans to launch additional transcription and editing features this summer.
