- Skyryse
Led · Series C · Feb 2026
Founded in 2016, Skyryse is an El Segundo, California–based aviation automation company focused on SkyOS, a flight control operating system that replaces dozens of traditional gauges and switches with touchscreen-based automation. The system handles take-off, landing, hover, and engine-out emergencies, while still keeping a pilot in the loop, thereby enhancing safety and reducing pilot workload. Skyryse has already integrated SkyOS into platforms ranging from civilian helicopters to U.S. military Black Hawk helicopters and has inked integration contracts with United Rotorcraft, Air Methods, and Mitsubishi Corporation. The company is nearing the final stages of FAA certification after receiving final design approval for its flight control computers. New funding will accelerate SkyOS deployment across additional aircraft types and support the remaining certification testing. Including the latest round, Skyryse has secured more than $605 million in equity financing and now carries a $1.15 billion valuation.
- Bedrock Ocean Exploration
Participated · Series A · Jun 2025
Bedrock Ocean develops and builds autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and accompanying software to map the ocean floor using sonar and magnetic sensors. Its AUVs run up to 12 hours on lithium-ion batteries, sail five to 10 meters above the seafloor, and store and partially process data on board before surfacing to transmit via Wi‑Fi. Two AUVs can cover the same ground as one traditional mapping ship, and a 40-foot ship could carry 10–12 AUVs; Bedrock says its vehicles cost less than $1 million apiece. The company’s approach uses lower-power, higher-frequency sonar deployed closer to the seafloor, which it says reduces harm to marine mammals. Bedrock can place items on the seafloor with roughly one- to two-meter accuracy, and notes that not all surveys require sub-meter precision. Over the last two quarters the startup has performed paid survey work for offshore wind, oil and gas, and environmental assessments, and its rapid-assessment capability has drawn interest from the U.S. Navy. Bedrock provides high-resolution seafloor maps collected by its purpose-built autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and delivered via Mosaic, a cloud-native web service that handles analysis and hosting. The company designed its AUV to operate within 50–75 meters of the seabed using high-frequency sonar to produce more detailed imagery while minimizing harm to marine life. Mosaic is format-agnostic and launches with a promotion of 50 GB of free storage to drive adoption and aggregate previously hard-to-use survey data. Bedrock positions its offering as faster, cheaper, safer, and operationally more flexible than traditional crewed survey ships, enabling launch from a pier or beach without a boat. The product targets near-shore markets tied to the growing offshore wind and coastal monitoring demand where cloud handoff is feasible. Leadership says the long-term ambition is to enable near-regular mapping of the ocean, aiming ultimately to survey the whole ocean on a yearly basis.
- WilsonAI
Participated · Seed · Feb 2025
WilsonAI is a generative AI platform that synthesizes legal documents and functions as an AI paralegal for in-house legal teams. The product automates routine legal tasks by triaging inquiries, providing instant answers, and automating workflows. It also offers knowledge management, information gathering, and automated reporting, enabling tracking of metrics such as query resolution times. By handling repetitive queries and tasks, WilsonAI aims to free legal teams to focus on higher-value work. With the new funding the company plans to enhance its AI capabilities, expand integrations with existing legal tech stacks, and accelerate customer onboarding across industries. WilsonAI has already deployed its AI paralegal with 10 technology companies.
- Ayar Labs
Participated · Series D · Dec 2024
Headquartered in San Jose, CA, Ayar Labs builds co-packaged optics that move data between chips with light instead of copper, reducing power consumption while boosting bandwidth for AI infrastructure. Its flagship TeraPHY optical engine is manufactured in concert with leading semiconductor partners and is designed to slot directly into existing accelerator and switch designs. By replacing traditional electrical I/O with optical links, the technology delivers significant performance gains and cost savings in power-constrained environments. Following its latest financing, the company plans to ramp production and testing capacity, open and staff a new office in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and deepen ecosystem partnerships to speed customer deployments. Ayar Labs’ CPO solution is already qualified for industry-standard fab, manufacturing, and packaging flows, positioning it for broad adoption. The company has raised a cumulative $870 million to date, providing substantial capital to execute its global expansion and commercialization roadmap.
- Permanent
Participated · Seed · Oct 2024
Permanent operates a marketplace that helps large commercial buyers discover, order, and onboard farms that use regenerative practices or are owned by women or people of color. The platform launched in 2023 and layers AI to predict seasonality and how produce will integrate with existing distribution and supply chains. Permanent also facilitates custom growing contracts for buyers and plans to add financial features like lending and cash-flow management in the future. Since launch the company has worked with 60 farms in California (half owned by women or people of color) and landed 20 commercial customers, including Sweetgreen and Kettle & Fire, plus school districts and universities. The company is focused largely on the West Coast, especially California, and aims to expand its supply chain nationally by 2027.
