Unseenlabs is a Rennes, France–based RF data and solutions provider focused on maritime domain awareness. Its core technology detects and geolocates radio frequency signals from space to identify and characterize vessels anywhere on the globe, at any time and in any weather. The company provides high‑added‑value data and solutions to help fight illegal activities at sea and to serve private‑sector segments. The recent €85M funding will be used to significantly expand observation capabilities through the launch of multiple satellites and to innovate and deploy new products and solutions. Unseenlabs also plans to strengthen its international presence, particularly in the American and Asian markets, and to consolidate activity within private‑sector areas such as oil and gas, insurance, shipowners, economic intelligence, and offshore energy. The company has accumulated €120M in total funding since inception and is led by CEO Clément Galic. Unseenlabs develops satellite-borne electromagnetic monitoring and intelligence used to observe maritime activity. Through its existing three orbiting satellites the company can track maritime traffic, particularly ships that have switched off their identification systems. The service targets hard-to-detect activity such as illegal fishing, smuggling and piracy, positioning the company as an "eyes in the sky" capability. The recent funding is intended to accelerate commercial growth and to further deploy the company's satellite constellation. Unseenlabs raised €20 million in a Series B. The company was founded in 2015 by Clement Galic and Jonathan Galic and is based in Rennes, France.
