- Moma Protocol
Participated · Equity · May 2021
Moma Protocol provides a proprietary smart contract factory that creates, manages, accelerates, and aggregates lending markets to expand liquidity and market diversity in DeFi. The protocol aims to produce an unlimited number of customizable lending pools by combining strengths of automated market makers and lending protocols, thereby bringing more assets into lending markets. Moma was incubated and supported by Lichang, a community app with over one million registered users. The team positions the product as a way to solve scalability, liquidity, and speculation needs in the current DeFi lending market and to open new lending markets for long‑tail assets. Financially, Moma recently closed a $2.25 million round of funding to scale its model. The company says its long‑term goal over the next 5–10 years is to create an expandable, scalable, and flexible DeFi lending infrastructure that anyone can freely participate in.
- Ferriswheel
Participated · Equity · May 2021
CoinBurp is a London, UK-based cryptocurrency trading platform led by CEO and co-founder Peter Wood. The platform is designed to let users get in and out of DeFi, hold and trade NFTs, stake for an APY and earn NFTs. It combines CeFi and DeFi functionality in a single app, offers fiat capabilities and direct-to-market access for major NFT marketplaces. CoinBurp raised $2M in its first private funding round. The company intends to use the funds to continue building its platform.
- NiiFi
Participated · Seed · May 2021
NiiFi is developing a low-latency decentralized exchange that runs on Nahmii, an Ethereum layer-2 network designed to boost transaction throughput. By leveraging Nahmii’s architecture, the platform provides instant, non-probabilistic settlement finality, a capability positioned to attract institutional traders. The exchange also embeds know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering (AML) functionality to meet compliance demands often absent in DeFi. According to Nahmii developer Jacobo Toll-Messia, the underlying technology is proprietary and currently patent-pending. NiiFi’s product roadmap centers on turning these technical advantages into a commercially viable DEX. The team, backed by seasoned crypto investors, plans additional fundraising rounds to expand both the exchange and the broader Nahmii layer-2 ecosystem.
- Drops
Led · Equity · May 2021
Drops is a Vilnius, Lithuania-based project that builds infrastructure to surface additional value for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), offering loans, vaults, staking and yield farming for NFT owners and investors. The team plans tools that let NFT owners stake NFTs to earn dPoints, use a dNFT protocol to vault NFTs and convert them into ERC20 tokens, and underpin NFT loan smart contracts and yield-farming supply without selling the original NFT. Drops says it will use capital for development, marketing, operational expenses and liquidity provision. The company has a roadmap for 2021 and plans an initial offering for the NFT and cryptocurrency communities in Q2 2021, led by Darius Kazlovskis. The round builds on a network of strategic partners including Polkastarter, Quantstamp, 0xb1, Kyros Ventures, Zokyo, Petrock Capital and Blockstar Technologies.
