- Web3Auth
Participated · Series A · Jan 2022
Web3Auth builds non-custodial key management and authentication infrastructure for web3 applications and wallets, enabling password-less auth and OAuth logins (Google, Twitter, Discord, Reddit) to simplify blockchain onboarding. It is powered by the open-source Torus Network and aims to eliminate seed phrases by leveraging social accounts and devices users already own. The company supports familiar login flows while still allowing advanced users to connect traditional wallets or key management systems. Web3Auth plans to use new funding to accelerate expansion into decentralized gaming, NFTs and social applications and to increase headcount. Financially, it closed a $13M Series A and has raised $15M total since its 2019 inception. Operatively, more than 300 apps and wallets had selected Web3Auth in 2021 to secure over four million users' private keys, and its user base grew 30x year-over-year.
- NuLink
Participated · Equity · Nov 2021
NuLink provides decentralized privacy protection technology via an API aimed at integrating privacy features into decentralized applications. Its platform is positioned to help developers, startups, small businesses and enterprises build applications while adopting security and privacy best practices. The company emphasizes privacy-preserving tooling for dApps rather than a consumer-facing product. NuLink is described as being based in Sweden. The article reports that NuLink completed a $1.6M strategic financing. The raise signals outside investor interest in its API-focused privacy offering. NuLink provides privacy-preserving technology for decentralized applications through an out-of-the-box API platform. The platform offers endpoint encryption and cryptographic access control, using Proxy Re-Encryption and Attribute-Based Encryption to grant access by policy. For data recipients, NuLink supports Zero-Knowledge Proofs for privacy-preserving data availability and can employ Fully Homomorphic Encryption for enterprise-level data computation. The company highlights use cases including encrypted NFT marketplaces, electronic health record sharing, joint medical data analysis, decentralized digital rights management, privacy-preserving social networks, and encrypted financial data prediction. Co-founder David Jiao said the roadmap is to create a smart and scalable software architecture and to evolve from privacy data sharing to privacy data computing while building industry-specific use cases. NuLink announced a $4 million raise from a syndicate of crypto investors, per the company press release.
- New Order
Participated · Equity · Nov 2021
New Order is a community-led venture DAO and incubator that provides an ecosystem-as-a-service for early-stage DeFi projects. Its core offering combines funding with mentorship, security feedback, assistance with token issuances, visibility via the community, and access to exchanges, token listers, and developers. The DAO uses community voting to select projects and aims to create a virtuous cycle where successful projects generate revenue to be reinvested in the community. New Order raised $4 million to launch the incubator and intends to finance the community through revenue from a DApp marketplace. The incubator is launching next month, is already supporting three unnamed projects, and hopes to back 20–30 new projects annually. The initiative emphasizes hands-on support beyond capital to help DeFi founders grow communities and improve product security.
- DegenSwap
Participated · Equity · Nov 2021
DegenSwap is a single-click cross-chain aggregator umbrella developed by Atom Foundation that aggregates sources across chains to surface the best prices. The initial platform launch supports Binance Coin (BNB) and Ethereum (ETH) and provides one-click interoperability between the two blockchains. The platform advertises 100% reimbursement of gas and fee costs for users. DegenSwap has a native token, DEGEN, currently listed on DynamicSwap and planned for Uniswap, Sushiswap, PancakeSwap, with agreements executed with centralized exchanges like MeXC. The DEGEN token has seen rapid appreciation (article cites a 10X rise since launch and 42X from the private sale; the headline notes a 4,200% surge) and the public sale was still running at the time of the report. The product also supports license-free one-click clones that allow other projects to charge their own fees while leveraging DegenSwap's fee-reimbursement technology.
- Synapse Network
Participated · Equity · Jul 2021
Synapse Network is developing a cross-chain investment ecosystem that will offer five cross-chain products, including a cross-chain DEX, a DeFi marketplace, a chain-agnostic launchpad, an accelerator/incubator, and an investment syndicate. It already has a live, working cross-chain launchpad that enables investors to allocate funds into projects across Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon and other blockchains. The platform aims to be a one-stop-shop to consolidate transactions and investments, contrasting with multichain solutions that require investing into separate ecosystems. Synapse has raised nearly $2,000,000 from venture capital and community funding rounds and lists partners including Black Dragon, Dutch Crypto Investors, Moonwhale, Chainlink, OIG, ICO HUB, Crypto Weekly, Minted Lab and CSP DAO. All projects launched from the Synapse accelerator and launchpad will be backed with Synapse technology to fast-track integration, enable seamless smart contract integration, and provide fast data gathering and security guarantees. Co-founders Paweł Łaskarzewski and Michał Domarecki bring enterprise technology and serial-entrepreneur experience to the team; the announcement lists London as the company location.
