    Robeauté is developing a therapeutic microrobotic platform built around a universal robotic carrier with interchangeable micro-extensions that can deliver drugs, implant electrodes, collect tissue samples or capture real-time data from deep in the brain. The active robots, continuously tracked by ultrasound, move along curved, non-linear paths inside brain tissue, providing surgeons with unprecedented control compared with magnetically driven probes. The company holds more than 50 patents and positions its platform to address large markets such as brain cancer, biopsies, targeted drug delivery and brain–computer interfaces. Founded in 2017 by robotics veteran Bertrand Duplat and operations specialist Joana Cartocci, Robeauté operates from Paris and recently opened a U.S. subsidiary to facilitate clinical trials and commercialization. Its first-in-human studies are targeted for completion by the end of 2026, with the U.S. expected to be the initial launch market due to a more collaborative regulatory environment. In January 2025 the company secured $28 million in new funding, enabling it to double its team and accelerate product development.
